Doctor gave 1% steroid cream. No change.
Any advice please.
On child's skin not adult.Has anyone know about eczema that looks exactly like little bumps over cheeks - like blocked pores/acne spots?
I foster a toddler aged 17 months, he has eczema on his face and it looks like the eczema you are describing. The doctor also prescribed the 1% steroid cream. this cream has worked in the past but is ineffective now. I applied it to his face twice a day for one week but it was not clearing up. when I went back to the doctor, we saw a different one who advised that the steroid cream will take a layer of skin off his face if used too long and the condition becomes worse.
he advised to stop using the steroid cream and use double base cream instead. I started this on monday and his skin is much clearer. the double base is a moisturiser used in eczema and can be used as frequently as needed. hope this helps. my advice would be for you to go back to the doctor do what ever they advise.Has anyone know about eczema that looks exactly like little bumps over cheeks - like blocked pores/acne spots?
look for a product called dermaveen it is wonderful my little one had bad eczma i got him the soap free bath wash and cream an after a month of use it went and now it stays gone what it does it encourages your skin to fix it self
It could be hives????
persevere with the cream, it is childhood eczema and this is the time of the year when it is most active, it will calm down soon
are they blister looking and when they pop is it yellowish liquid that comes out? then does the skin peel off?itching?
i had that issue for the whole summer a few years back try that bream but if you have to get something a lil stronger make sure that your child doesnt touch its face!! good luck i hope everything works out ok ps go to a dermatologist if you havent already
