How to treat enlarged pores?

How can i treat my pores w/o having to spend alot of money???How to treat enlarged pores?
well, I can give you some tips and a regimin that would be easy to follow. All you need is Witch Hazel (astringent) and a Mint Julep, or a Mud Pack masque.

Use the witch hazel every morning, let your skin fully absorb it before putting any makeup on. The witch hazel will soak into the pores and disolve any dirt and oil, while at the same time shrinking the pores.(apply to clean skin for best results)

Use a Mint Julep facial masque once or twice a week, as the masque dries it will pull out any impurities (black heads too!) and shrink the pores, this masque is best if you have oily skin.

If you have dry skin you might want to use a Mud Pack facial masque, this will work similar to the mint julep only it will have a more moisturizing effect.

You can get these products at any beauty supply store like Sally's for under $15.

Witch Hazel is a more common product and can be purchased at your local grocery stores, drug stores, or Wal-Mart.How to treat enlarged pores?
Get a bottle of Witch Hazel. Dab on face with cotton. Is an old remedy, but works.
just squeeze them.
You can rub some limes on them for acouple of days or use witch hazel as an astringent.
You can get this thing called Neutrogena-something. I dont remember the name but it is a bottle with blue liquid inside and costs only 6 bucks at Wal-Mart. I use it and it works awesome!

I have an open pores...is there any product to minimize them?

Try a clay based mask to help minimize the pores. Then use a toner everyday to tighten the pores. Neutrogena has really good products.I have an open pores...is there any product to minimize them?
you could try a toner that concentrates on minimizing pores. You should be able to get them at any drug store.I have an open pores...is there any product to minimize them?

Astringent to clear clogged pores...?

I don't want one with alcohol! Do you have a brand that uses something other than alcohol...

And could I make my own with something like...lemons or limes..?Astringent to clear clogged pores...?
don't use astringent.. use a toner.. they're better for your face and don't have alcohol..

and scrubbing your face with an electric toothbrush can help unclog your pores.. sounds stupid i know.. but it works.. i do it three times a week and my face feels so clean.. you can use any scrub you have.. i like to use st. ives..

you can also make one yourself.. take four aspirin and dissolve then in a few drops of water.. add a squirt of honey.. and make it into a paste.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, and a spot treatment left on over night also.. aspirin has the same active ingredient as pro-active..

hope this helps!Astringent to clear clogged pores...?
Neutrogena has one alcohol free toner

if you want a natural way to unclogg your pores, ( I know it sounds gross) sweating is the best way. When you sweat your body heats up and the pores will open, alot of dirt and stuff comes out along with your sweat. it's your body's way of cleansing itself.

Do yourself a double whammy and go get some exercise, really work up a sweat and then wash your face with a gentle exfoliant. I use St-Ives apricot scrub. you can use regular soap if you want. and after you rinse off the scrub or soap rinse again with cold water and this will help close up your pores.

If you don't want to exercise... you can always just take a nice long steaming hot bath and then do the same things. : )

Skin a shade drier dan normal.face doesnt glow.clogged pores on nose. plz help. want glowing skin?

use a scrub twice a week--%26gt; this will unclog ur blocked pores and deep cleanse ur skin, and also remove dead cells and promote growth of new ones...use a light moisturizer too.

i am a big advocate of completely natural products! so i use only those made by Shene (http://www.sheneherbals.com) - they have a great moisturizer and also a scrub- also a rose face pack to make skin glow!Skin a shade drier dan normal.face doesnt glow.clogged pores on nose. plz help. want glowing skin?
Use an exfoliating scrub, you can get them from chemists and supermarkets and they're quite cheap. This should help the dry skin and the clogged pores, as it scrubs off the dead skin cells from the skin's surface. You just moisten your face and gently rub the exfoliator into your skin, then rinse off. For the moisturiser, use a plain, oil-free one. You need something that will balance your skin out and has no oil. I'm 17 too, and I use Nivea Visage Oil Free Moisture. Although it will depend where you live as to whether you'll be able to buy this brand. If you need help, you can always ask someone at a chemist/pharmacy to help you, they should give you advice for free.Skin a shade drier dan normal.face doesnt glow.clogged pores on nose. plz help. want glowing skin?

Irritated with the tiny pores on my skin.....ugly!!?

I don't what these tiny pores ...they look like tiniest holes...scattered in the middle of my cheeks. So that makes my skin look so ugly even when my colour is pretty fair n tone is smooth.

how can i get rid of the pores???? i tried with cleanser, but after i use it, the pores become more visible.Irritated with the tiny pores on my skin.....ugly!!?
This safe natural home remedy gives fast, amazing results. (See happy response below from Answer's user). Permanently rids face of the hole using any essential oil - olive, almond and coconut are excellent - they feed skin many healing and health promoting nutrients.

Use tips and front and sides of fingers (depending where on face you apply) and massage with a forward and back motion . A circular one will not work. Massage over and over quite vigorously and you will see them reduce almost immediately. For quickest results do each day for a few minutes. Pores will greatly minimize in as little as 2 days.

Before massage first tighten skin so that you will not be pulling or stressing skin. Do by partially opening mouth and pulling lips firmly back against teeth - tightens most of face.

Apply massage to entire face you will quickly have a smooth, radiant, tight, totally blemish free, healthy skin and you will not need to use any other product or treatment ever again - not even moisturizers. Oils are perfect natural moisturizers.

REPLY from Wannabeblue28 - ';Omg, I've been following your advice and massaging my face vigorously with coconut oil for the last three days and I see results already! Thank you ever so much..this could be the solution to my all my skin problems. I'd messaged earlier asking about the pores on my face. They're very large and EVERYWHERE. I have a massive event coming up in a month. Could I do it twice daily to speed up the process? ';

You need to learn how to close the pores on your face. There are several things you can do. First, always wash your face in lukewarm to cool water and finish it off with cold water. Cold water will close pores. Make sure that you are not over-washing your face, too often, too rough, etc., be gentle and only wash morning and night. Estee Lauder sells a product that reduces pore size by 33% on the first use and a 69% reduction in 4 weeks with regular use. The name of this is called 'Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher'. Apply this after washing your face and then put on your moisturizer. Then you can also use Estee Lauder 'Idealist Dual-Action Refinishing Treatment'. It's like using a mask but only takes 5 minutes and works like a chemical peel, it cleans your pores and makes them look smaller. You would use this once a week. I have both products and I love them. I didn't have large pores but since I'm now into my early 40's (eek) I wanted to get a head start on things before they begin. As a person ages their pores become larger, their noses become longer, things just don't work or look they way they used to. I'm trying to head everything off at the pass and not allow anything new to start. Good luck, I hope you find a solution that you are happy with.
Ugh, I know where you are coming from. I have open pores on my nose and on my cheeks beside my nose mostly.

I found that if I keep my skin clean, which means getting all the crap out of my enlarged pores, then they will shrink a bit.

Grab a good cleanser that is designed to clean out pores and then look for a pore minimising cream. There are lots out there so perhaps check with a good pharmacist or beautician or even at the beauty counter in a big department store who can recommend the right product for your skin type.

You don't want to dry out your skin while cleaning out your pores and alot of products strip the moisture out of your skin too much which causes more problems.

Good luck

Re the above post - what a great idea and product. Here is some more info on it:

Just be willing to keep up the results as this Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher offers noticeably younger looking skin to all that can afford it.
you should try one of those acne loop tools, I have one and despite what many say, they do not make your face bruise.

  • Will sesame oil block pores?

so i bought neutrogena's sesame body oil yesterday because someone told me that body oil on the skin works wonders (i want it mainly for my legs). but then doesn't oil block pores? i wanted to use it after i shower while my skin is damp then maybe after 30 minutes, use aveeno lotion. but do you think my skin would be able to absorb the lotion if i use the oil? do you think it's better to just stick with the lotion and drop the whole oil thing? Will sesame oil block pores?
Neutrogena's sesame oil is wonderful. Applied in the shower, than rinsed lightly with water and patted dry is great for the skin especially on legs and arms.

If you want a great experience, mix up ahead of your shower in a plastic bowl, combine a couple tablespoons of brown sugar and enough sesame oil to moisten the sugar, than after cleaning with soap in the shower rub the sugar mixture on your arms and legs until the sugar dissolves, then rinse with water. This is good for exfoliating skin on your legs/arms.Will sesame oil block pores?
use the oil rather than the lotion cuz it lasts longer and is better for your skin

    it wont block your pores
