Would a pore minimizer help with breakouts or make them worse?

i.e: if it seals up your pores then is it harder to get dirt out? or does it make it so dirt cannot get in? I'd like to try one but i am VERY prone to acne.Would a pore minimizer help with breakouts or make them worse?
You should clean out your pores as best you can and then use it....with steam facial scrub facial cleanser and then a toner and then a pore minimizer.....
