i really like how it looks on my skin, but i'm afraid it'll block my pores. it just says ';oil-free formula for oily skin'; but it says nothing about being non-comedogenic. help?Does revlon colorstay with soft flex block pores?
If it doesn't say it then it probably does clog your pores. If it was non-pore clogging they would definently want to advirtise that as a selling point.

If your face is dry, try using mask. the face scurb is for the rough skin. try using the white egg and cucumber to mask on your face. I'd suggest you to try face the day cream face lotion of blooms cosmetic. it works wonderfull. has the ingredient of ginger and korean ginseng.
a lot of homemade masks are just to cleanse the pores but if you want to make your pores smaller your best bet would be to buy a pore shrinking face mask..i have one and the brand is ';kiss my face';. its only about five dollars and it is amazing!!!

well there are solutions, but i wouldn't suggest it, makeing your pores smaller can cause breakouts, because you are trapping dirt, oil, and bacteria inside them, instead of letting it leave your face
Rub papaya pulp gently on the face twice in a week
clean your face %26amp; gently rub ripe papaya on ur face.wash it after 15-20 minutes.do it every day for few months.it will help a lot without any side effects.good luck

What is the best treament in acne,whiteheads,black heads,and bigger pores that is so effective but cost less?
plz help me!!! i am suffering for skin problems.whats the best way to do?suggestions pleaseWhat is the best treament in acne,whiteheads,black heads,and bigger pores that is so effective but cost less?
Because your getting large pores, it makes me think your washing with soap. Don't do that because it destroys a natural protective layer on the skin and the skin will open wider to try to get the oil and sweat back on the skin to protect it. How this happens is the pores will open larger and larger untill it can get this done which is rare, because by that time the person uses soap again.The brain tells your skin to do this because it thinks your skin needs oil on the surface. I was pretty much a pizza face until I learned how to take care of my skin. I use a warm (not hot) washcloth water only and wipe my face in a downward motion so I don't push any thing under the cuticle layer of my skin because that can cause infection too. Then when my skin feels clean I use an oil free moisturizer and then put on make up or what ever. Once a week use a scrub and Biore strips for the black heads. I use St. Ives stuff it's cheap. You can make a scrub with honey (healing) and salt and do circular motions and rinse.
Don't use lotion or soap on your face. Always remember to moisturize. When you have red spots use visine. Dot pimples with white toothpaste before you sleep and wipe it off in the a.m.What is the best treament in acne,whiteheads,black heads,and bigger pores that is so effective but cost less?
try clearasil refineing cream it works great.
I used Noxzema for a long time, but not the normal one. They came out with one that has eucalyptus in it (there is green on the front), and it did great things for my skin. I always found that the most important thing is to dry your skin very thoroughly after washing at night. I've gotten into a newer one, and yes - my skin is quite clear now... it's a clearasil wash that has some acid in it that still moisturizes... try some out! Hope things work out...

I have a indoor fireplace,,,and when you open glass door smoke pores in what am i doing wronge,,,this is my fi
Make sure your flue is open, and then wait until the temps equalize before lighting a fire. There's more to this.......see links below.I have a indoor fireplace,,,and when you open glass door smoke pores in what am i doing wronge,,,this is my fi
Open the flu...
You're sure it's a wood-burning fireplace (you can laugh, but I've had renters screw that up).I have a indoor fireplace,,,and when you open glass door smoke pores in what am i doing wronge,,,this is my fi
are you sure the flue is open?
To get the smoke to go up the chimney you need to create a draft,open the flute and if your fireplace doesn't have an outside air intake,open a nearby window until the fire is well established.
I had this problem turned out my flue was not fitted properly and they had in fact put it in upside down. I also had the chimney swept and that helped, best to call someone to take a look at it.
Yes, it's either the flue or some kind of bird discovered your chimney as prime real estate for a nest. One other possibility if you have a large fireplace or two that share the same chimney is draw. Draw is the ability of the chimney to pull heat and smoke up and out. Sometimes (usually in the situation just mentioned) you have to ';jump-start'; the draw. Do this by taking a few pieces of newspaper rolled into a crude torch. Light one end and hold the flames up to the flue. When the flames seem to be pulled up into the chimney it's working. Hint: don't try to get the draw going until after you've just lit the fire. Again if your flue is closed or the chimney is clogged jump-starting the draw won't work.
with a wood burning stove you have to open the damper, to let all the smoke go out the chimney.
Are you making sure the flu is open when you light the fire?
make sure it is a REAL fireplace!!!!!!!!!!!go on the roof and be sure you can SEE all the way down!!!!!
Before you light the fire, be sure the flu is open. Then when you light the fire, close the doors, and when you get it going, open the doors. If this doesn't work, have someone come and check your chimney. It could be stopped up with a birds nest or leaves.
sounds like you have the flu closed there should be a switch somewhere on your fire some are near the top most are near the botton.

Do acne pills also help large pores?
Hi, I'm thinking of asking my GP if she can give me a pill to cure my acne.
I was wondering if a pill would also help get rid of large blocked pores?
I've tried loads of scrubs etc but nothing seems to work. Would an acne pill?
Thanks :)Do acne pills also help large pores?
you shouldn't take pills... try something external- nothing worked for me better than duac medicated cream. It's available obly on prescription. it dries your skin out at first- but you will see the results in a week! I'm not even joking- but you have to bare with the severe dry skin... and moisturise intensely in the morning and throughout the day...Do acne pills also help large pores?
no there different
Try a microdermabrasion facial at a beauty salon. i've tried it and the results were excellant. It helped with my spots, large pores and wrinkles. It costs around 拢45 per treatment and a course of six is usually recommened, but you can see the difference after one.
Pore minimiser from Estee Lauder. Quite expensive but a little goes a long way and it's FABman makeup

Can water alone cleanse the pores?
Nope, I wont have any effect...except maybe dry out your skin afterCan water alone cleanse the pores?
not really,
you need a special cleanser or regular soap will clean your skin
probably not as well without the special cleanserCan water alone cleanse the pores?
Nope, it cannot. Your skin secretes oil, and also picks up dirt and other things during the day. Unfortunately, oil and water don't mix. By using a facial cleanser, you will get into your pores and clean out all of that dirt and oil, thus helping your pores stay clear.
Tip: use warm-hot water when you start washing your face (this opens the pores) and then use a final splash of cool water to close the pores.
No not really one thing that really helps me is St.Ives Apricot scub its only like 3 bucks and works so good!

Foundations that dont sink into pores?
Im looking for a foundation that doesnt sink into pores and cause a 'rough look'. i use a good make up base but it isnt enough. tyFoundations that dont sink into pores?
I would use bare minerals. I love that stuff!Foundations that dont sink into pores?
Use a primer first to even out your skin. It also helps your makeup last longer.
Then use a powder mineral makeup. Buff it over your face in small circles.
Liquid foundation tends to create that rough look at it is very thick. You want a thin layer of powder and mineral makeup doesn't clog your pores.

How do u make ur pores look smaller?
after your done washing your face rub an ice cube over your skinHow do u make ur pores look smaller?
Use a pore refining cleanser or cream.How do u make ur pores look smaller?
The best way to make your pores look smaller is by using a pore-refining cleanser with warm water. When you are done, rinse your face at least 10 times with warm water. This will remove all of the oil and bacteria. After that, the important step is to wash with very cold water 10+times. This will tone your pores and skin and make your pores look diminished.
use cold water!

Technically it is a myth, your pores do not 'open' and close. Hot water softens you skin and makes it easier for extractions.
But the whole open and close them thing is something hyped up by the cosmetic companies who want to sell you a whole load of rubbish that does not really work - they want to make you think it works.

Ok well there is this stuff by Ponds that minimizes your pores and I used it and it worked wonderfully and I would never regret buying it i would recomend it highly to you
Avon has a line of products called Porefection that works really well. They have a cleanser, toner, and mask. They work wonderfully. And you can shop on line. Best part is when you order you get lots of nifty samples.
You cannot actually minimize your pores... you can use a pore tightening astringent such as Neutragena which will do just that, tighten them.
You can use Dove or call your local Mary Kay representative or Arborne and they could help you out..

What is a makeup brand that doesn't clog pores?
haha...bee-luscious sounds funny : SWhat is a makeup brand that doesn't clog pores?
Almay, Physicians Formula, Clinique, and Bee-Luscious don't clog pores and most prefered by dermatologists.What is a makeup brand that doesn't clog pores?
neutrogena
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals)! There products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!
Bismuth (IPA: [藞b瑟zm蓹胃]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.
I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors so one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! It really works well!
Plus they offer free shipping to the Continental US!

Bare Minerals are really good.
bare essentials- bare minerals is absolutely amazing. it looks like a powder, yet isn't dry when you put it on...it blends beautifully into the skin as if it melts into it. it doesn't clog pores and is talc-free...and you can even sleep in it :). however, if you're looking to get something from a general dept store or pharmacy...just look on the labels and make sure the makeup says- noncomodogenic (sp?) or 'doesn't clog pores'. neutrogena, oil of olay, almay, physician's formula are good brands.
stay away from heavy full coverage makeup foundations- as those generally do tend to clog your pores since they basically try to even out every crevice in your skin. i'd go to sephora and seek some help from the associates that work there too! they can definitely help you find something :)
good luck!
Bee-Luscious. It's top of the line in skincare and cosmetics.
If your willing to pay a bit more $money$ for good makeup I would have to suggest BARE MINERALS, CLINIQUE, OR ALMAY. These are all very excellent brands. Or if you want to get into a more expensive makeup but in my opinion is the best It's called-ARBONNE
It's swiss formulated skin care products, but they have makeup too. They are all natural ingredients! works wonders for me! You can order from their website and/or find an independent consultant in your area.
Bee-Luscious! No fillers like bismuth or talc. Also no oils. I think it is the perfect make-up.
Neutrogena
Bee-Luscious. It is the ONLY brand I will use. After trying it months ago I was hooked. I have never found a make-up company that all of their products are amazing!

Dermalogica.
Almay, Clinique, Prescriptives, Lancome... List goes on, most labels say it specifically on the back.

Clinique, Neutrogena %26amp; Dermalogica.
Clinique is good, so is Almay
Dermalogica.
Almay, Clinique, Prescriptives, Lancome... List goes on, most labels say it specifically on the back.
I realy need some help please i have some pores on my face ?
and i have tried everything in the store so i dont know if there is anything else i can try please someone help meI realy need some help please i have some pores on my face ?
Try a home microdermabrasion kit, they smooth skin and remove scars whilst closing pores. They are quite expensive but work well. Try the skin doctors gamma hydroxy cream, it worked wonders for me. I realy need some help please i have some pores on my face ?
PLease don't use Biore they promise you a lot and do very little. Try dermadoctor's picture poreperfect you can see the difference in 2 weeks. It cleans your pores from residue and dissolves blackheads over time while closing your pores.
Try Biore Products, they are specifically designed for this type of problem.
Murad? I heard the toner can really close up pores. I am using it. So, far, my pores are closed.

I really need help because I have black heads and blocked pores on my nose and i hate them. Pleeeease help!Does any body know a good product that clears, pores, blackheads and spots? In the uk please!?
You don't need expensive products these can sometimes make your skin worse because of all the chemicals they put in to dry the skin up once you stop using these your skin flares up again,my son suffered with really bad acne when he was uni he cleared it by using a GOOD quality antibacterial soap you can get it in any good chemist (not scented ) about 1-2 times a week get a fresh lemon Squeeze half in to some warm water and rinse your face with it after washing do this at night before you go to bed, the acid in the lemons kills any bacteria left in the pores after washing, Now my son has a face as soft as a baby's bottom, GOOD LOOK xx P.s if your skin does become a little dry stop using the lemon use an un-centred moisturiser you can get a oil of ulay its about a fiver but it will last you a whileDoes any body know a good product that clears, pores, blackheads and spots? In the uk please!?
Some excellent stuff by Neutrogena. Buy the dermabrasion kit, Its excellent, after you have exfoliated your skin (taken the dead cells off), black heads come out so easy. Hold a piece of tissue to have a squeeze and watch them just come out like little worms. Then after, wash your face and a nice toner applied on some cotton wool. excellent results. good luck. xx
I have the same problem!!
I went to the doctors and was refered 2 a skin specialist, i now have a tablet to tae everyday, cream to use an have been put on the pill, and guess wot...

What is the best way cleanse your face?? my pores tends to build up. after make up,how can i cleanse too??
Neutragena or other clear glycerin soapWhat is the best way cleanse your face?? my pores tends to build up. after make up,how can i cleanse too??
for the pore issue, make sure that you are using a moisturiser that is appropriate for your skin and not to heavy or this could lead to black heads. To keep pores clear be sure to exfoliate using a gentle scrub once or twice a week 鈥?or perhaps try an everyday cleanser that also contains exfoliating beads, such as Simple Oil Control Regulating Exfoliator Wash, $15.95. With its natural astringent qualities witch hazel is good for problem skin, so you might also like to try Witch Clear Pore Gel, $12.95.What is the best way cleanse your face?? my pores tends to build up. after make up,how can i cleanse too??
as important as cleaning is another key factor is the makeup you are using....look for products that don't clog pores....as for cleaning any of the the olay products are good...i spend a little more and buy estee lauder...it is worth it....
Wash your face with warm water and a mild soap. I often wash my face 2-3 times a day, especially before I go to bed to clean all of the make up and dirt off. You can also use an exfoliant like St. Ives Apricot Scrub (they make several varieties if you have sensitive skin). After I wash and exfoliate, I use a toner to close the pores.
You need to use a facial scrub that gently exfoliates - that can get into your pores. There are many commerical cleansers on the market that can work. Oxy Scrub is just one of many.
Wash your face with real warm water to open the pores, but when you rinse, use colder water to close them.
And drink lots of water. Watch your diet, see if that may help.
I used to work for Clinique so I'm going to tell you what I've learned from them. Besides that, I've had the same problem. If your a little on the oily side, I would no doubt make sure your washing your face like you should, daily. I also use turnaround cream, which of course is by Clinique, but you could use something different, as long as it has salicylic acid in it. That will pull everything going on in your skin to the surface. I use that daily and if I've not used it for a couple days I can tell by looking at my pores. It truly does wonders for my skin. I use a exfoliate about once a week, something that has a little texture to it. It will keep your skin looking and feeling smooth. It helps remove that built up dirt. That's what does it for me. I've found there is nothing that permanently will do it, it's a daily routine that works best.
Oil of Olay products or Clearasil products.
Don't wear liquid foundation, it's not that good. I use Bare Minerals, it's awesome.

How do i get or minize appearance of pores?
Large pores is inherited. Permanently getting rid of them is impossible, but shrinking them temporarily is possible.
Aloe vera
alcohol based products, which I don't recommend,
Tea tree oil
Splashing cold water on the face.
There's lots, just look around.
*****You'll never permanently be able to shrink them, not possible. Just stay out of the sun, if you have to go in the sun, wear sun screen.
Good luck....How do i get or minize appearance of pores?
exfoliate and use a toner. Clinique is the best stuff.How do i get or minize appearance of pores?
Short term: Fill the sink with ice and put your face in it. (That is the rock star way)
Long term: There is laser treatment for pores.
On the spot: Preparation H Works best for swelling
The best and safest way is go to a skin care professional. Call local beauty salons and ask if they specialize in skin care and get a facial specifically for your condition.

My acne pores are a problem?
i have acne and i use medication but i still get oily skin i believe i get oily skin because my pores are open their really visiable to me so i know thats the problem. so what are good medication/homemade remedies to close my pores for goodMy acne pores are a problem?
Find some high-def pictures of actresses or porn stars. Pores are open; it's kind of their nature.My acne pores are a problem?
Something i do maybe once everyother day;
Take a thick towel and put it over your head (this is like a second step)
You can either just run the tap or you can fill a big bowl of boiling hot water. Steam must be rising. Then put the towel over your head and let the steam rise onto your face. It will make your face oily and your pores to really be opened. Then spash {this is important} Splash!! warm water on your face with your hands. Then wash with normal acne wash. You could also invest in oil pads. Theres ones you can get in shoppers that are about 2 .76 and there just a simple piece of absorbant paper that you can put in your purse they take away all the dirt and oil from you face as soon as used. There good after sporting events or just everyday. Also try your hardest to always always wash your hands because people tend to touch there face constantly for little everyday things you dont even think of. If your hands are clean then theres nothing that can transfer(dirt or oil) from your fingers to your face.
I have exactly the same problem. Its soooo frustrating! I don't really know of any homemade remedies but I know that drinking hot water is supposed to be great for skin. I would also try 'Panoxyl' which dries out oily skin and can be bought from the chemist.
Help it helps - let me know if you find out any other ways!
Try using a toner. Put it on with either a cotton ball or even your bare fingers before you put any make up on. Let it dry. I've noticed my skin tighten up and the pores seem smaller but my skin isn't overly dry.
Try the plant Sabila look it up on google images it really worked on me i have a clear skin now it really works. just rub it on your face for a week the juice of the plant sabila
i have this problem to i get acne and oily skin but dont know what to do. how does your medication work for you?

Oily skin, a little acne, slight redness, large pores, uneven texture: BEST SOAP?
so basicly my skin is
oily
acne prone (sort of)
uneven skintone/texture
acne marks
and large pores
i am currently using neutrogena acne face wash/acne spot treatment/ and oil free face moisturizer and i exfoliate a few times a week
what can i do to get flawless skin?Oily skin, a little acne, slight redness, large pores, uneven texture: BEST SOAP?
I started using pHisoderm anti-blemish gel face wash about four months ago and I really like it a lot. Neutrogena Acne Face Wash seems to cause more blemishes for me than it helps and the Burt's Bees Tomato soap suggested in another answer burns my face something fierce.
I also use pHisoderm nurturing facial polish and it works fairly well as an exfoliant.
Unfortunately, there is no cut and dry answer to your question. Everyone's skin is unique and no one's skin responds the same to the same products. And there are so many products out there on the market that buying facial cleanser is downright intimidating!
Anyway, the pHisoderm has been working for me, so it may be worth a try for you. Good luck.Oily skin, a little acne, slight redness, large pores, uneven texture: BEST SOAP?
no soap, it worked for me
when you feel you skin is becoming oily dab it with a wet tissue
now i very rarely have a breakout
okay... as hard as it is, stop doing all that. i had the same issues. pick ONE thing to continue, and only do it. by using many things, you are irritating your skin. wash gently in the morning with just water. apply a small amount of eucerin moisturizer. don't wear make up- if you feel you have to cover up shine, a little powder. when you get home, gently wash with just water again to remove dirt. continue your day as normal. in the shower, i reccomend dove face scrubs, to use gently. by scraping your face you are triggering your oil glands. apply moisturizer again in the morning. your skin should look better soon. but remember- no one's skin is perfect.
Dove: the white one worked for me, because it did not leave my face dry. Proactive really clears my face up, and it looks amazing, my acne was never really bad, but I do have oily skin so that works too.

my face is clear now, I hope it works for you. Plus I drink a lot of water now. For the oily skin try the rice pads sold at your local drugstore. It can also be the type of make-up you use. Try using studio fix mac, it does not cause acne at all. It costs like $25 but it's worth it ;)

See a dermatologist. Washing helps, but it won't get rid of the underlying issue. i've got acne and I'm 26, so it's best just to know how to deal!

What would you compare a nuclear pore to?
i have to do a project.and i have to compare a cell to a subway restraunt.what would you compare a nuclear pore to?What would you compare a nuclear pore to?
I dont really know a lot about subway restaurants but since the nuclear pores allow the entrance and exit of specific molecules in a highly regulated way (molecules that have specific signals that identify as exiting or entering or both). THey bind to transporter molecules (Exportin/Importin coupled to g proteins called Ran) these serve as the ';key'; that allows them to pass through the nuclear pores (which are huge protein complexes). Now I dont know how to apply that to a subway restaurant but I hope this gives you some ideas.

How do you know if you have clogged pores on your face?
If you wake-up every morning and have knots under neath your skin then you know that your pores are clogged, try by getting a washcloth as hot as you can stand it and place it on your face to open up your pores, a cool washcloth to close them back up. after you have finish washing your face frist.
Self-tanner sinks into my body hair pores - how to prevent this (no shaving!)?
I am a girl and I have slight blond hairs on my body that I can't shave because they arent really noticeable and they are all over my body - I am not gonna shave my whole body lol. My problem is that after I apply self-tanner, it seems to sink into the pores where the hair follicles grow... It makes me looks like I have tiny arker color dots all over my body... does anyone else have this problem an/or know how to deal with this/prevent this?Self-tanner sinks into my body hair pores - how to prevent this (no shaving!)?
I would guess that you're not rubbing it in enough, we all have hair pretty much everywhere but I don't experience the same problem. Also, maybe try a spray tan, since the particles are smaller they might not show as much.

Will putting lotion on ur legs right after u shaved them, clog the pores on ur legs?
Don't think so. But a great tip I picked up is this: if you want your legs to stay smooth, really really wonderfully smooth, and also in some weird almost scientfic way minimise regrowth, use baby oil! And if you think about it, there is no way baby oil will clog pores. Good enough for baby etc etc :0)Will putting lotion on ur legs right after u shaved them, clog the pores on ur legs?
Its usually good to moisturize after shaving, just don't put too much on.Will putting lotion on ur legs right after u shaved them, clog the pores on ur legs?
unless you have had problems will clogged leg pores no...you need to moisturize after you shave or it is not pretty.....
No, It's a good thing to put on moisturizer after you shave..
I have found that when I use a thick lotion that the hari takes longer to grow back. I reccomend it unless you enjoy shaving.

The pores on my face?
some of the pores on my cheeks and nose look huge!! does anyone have any ideas or products i can use to make them smaller??The pores on my face?
advice from an esthetician...large pores on cheeks and nose are completely normal. those areas are part of what is known as the ';T'; zone of your face. in the ';t'; zone, your face tends to break out more and or produce more oil. This is why your pores are larger in this area. They can hold and produce more oil than the other areas of your face. the t zone includes part of your forehead and all the way down the bridge of your nose, around your nose out onto the cheeks a bit and onto your chin. As to what to do to reduce the appearence of large pores, you could visit your local spa and have a consultation done. it is difficult to tell you as everyones skin types vary and therefore treatments are different. just make sure you're keeping your face clean! good luck!The pores on my face?

I have the same issue. I have found a lot of success with Origins charcoal mask, nothing can permanently make your pores smaller but the mask works really well. The mask is called Clear Improvement. Not only does it shrink my pores down, but for me it has also made my skin less oily. It is a good option you can use at home that isn't too costly that will give you the results you are looking for.

Why does your nose have so many pores?? and how to keep em clean??
Biore strips - they keep the pores clean.:)Why does your nose have so many pores?? and how to keep em clean??
I am not sure why there are so many pores. I think there are just as many on the rest of your body they just are more suceptible to get filled with dirt and oil on your face, becoming more visable. The only real way to get all the dirt out is to get a facial and they will physically push the grime out of your pores. Astringent just cleans the surface. Also I would try Ponds pore strips, those work well!Why does your nose have so many pores?? and how to keep em clean??
use biore nose strips
its not exactly that many its that theyre larger then the rest of ur pores, just wash them with hot water (to get them clean), and then to close them (to make them appear smaller) just rinse off ur face with cold water
deep clean, tone, moisturize, EXFOLIATE weekly!
and if possible get a monthly facial!
use good products DONT BE CHEAP! Its your face! Its the 1st thing people see!
dove soap
I don't really know why there are so many......but , personally I have found that using those pore strips helps.....you can find them at any drug store ....they are like a bandaid ....but they remove blackheads.........but read the directions carefully and do not leave them on very long...... They seem to make my pores look smaller and less noticeable......also you could try steaming your face.....(get a hot (not boiling) pot of water and drape a towel over your head and the pot and let the steam soften your pores .....more info is available online on this.
Okay first remember you do not have to spend tons of money on facial products go with the all time favorite Olay it is affordable and very effective, also you might want to try ponds. Your face in total has over 20 million pores your nose has 70% so good lick take my advice.
ugh! I know EXACTLy what ur going through! lol.
I use Seabreeze sensitve skin in the morning and night. In the middle of the day I use the Clearasil Clean 'N' Clear pads. It really works. My doc has even told me my complextion has gotten better.
BTW- this stuff is cheap. It's easy to buy and works like magic!
A teenager's or anyone else's nose has so many pores because that happens to be where most of the oil from your face decides to form zits. For some people, this could even happen on the forehead or the chin or cheeks. All you have to do to keep them clean is to wash your face every night and day, possibly use proactiv facial wash, which is very useful, and maybe use cotton swabs to gently wipe away the oil in your pores.
blackhead scrub
If your skin is very oily or even just the T zone is oily, that means there is too much oil is being released on your nose and it is coming through your pores, therefore, the pores are getting larger and larger. I have a same problem, but, by doing what I am going to write below, has made my pores smaller.
Your must every morning and night cleanse, tone and moisturize your face to avoid having even larger pores. Keep it clean all the time, just don't feel lazy when it comes to keeping your face beautiful looking. This is the only solution!!
Cleanse, tone , moisturise. Every day. Go talk to a beauty therapist about products.
its not that they have a lot of pores it just feels like it. to keep them clean wash your face every morning with cold water
My nose has so many pores because it is so wide -really wide and big like an ape.

Smaller pores?
i want to have smaller pores %26amp; healthier skin. My skin is very flaky, dry, yet secretes a lot of oil. i have pimples. do you know any remedies or products that assist me in curying my skin problem? i've cut down on eating sweets. i'm drinking more water and eating 1 fruit %26amp; 1 vegetable a day. any more advice?Smaller pores?
My mom always said to wash and rinse with warm water, but then re-rinse with cold to close your pores. A Chinese student of my father's told me that eating sesame seeds (plain) and washing it down with milk would help my complexion as a teen. I have very sensitive skin myself and the only thing that does not make me break out is Neutrogena Acne Wash and avoiding liquid base makeup. Hope this helps...Smaller pores?
first do not use Mary Kay products. they contain allot of mineral oil. anything with mineral oil or petroleum is bad news. you cannot shrink your pores much but you can make them less noticeable. try clean and clear foaming facial cleanser. rinse well. use a light, oil free moisturizer and spot treat zits with benzoil peroxide, such as clearasil. if you over your dry skin, it will produce more oil to compenstae for the loss. keep this in mind. wash your face every morning and esp. at night. and exfoliate once or twice a week with a mild scrub. you can even use sugar in your cleanser. keep your fingers and hair off your face. good luck.
use this Stridex clean stuff for you black heads it really works a lot.
Try pro active!!! I have heard great things about it.
I would recommend Mary Kay products.. I love them.. Buy the whole set for great results. the Cleanser, toner, Mask, and Mosturizer according to your skin type. Sounds like you have mixed skin both dry and oily, so buy these products ASAP. My mom had really huge pores and ever since she started using the products, her pores srunk a great deal. ... If you can't find someone that sells Mary Kay you can always email me lizxethe@yahoo.com I can help you get them.

Clogged pores, whiteheads, what do i have?
i have tons of small bumps on my cheeks and they keep creating, there deeply trapped whiteheads or something, how can i fix this, what are some good ways to clear this up?Clogged pores, whiteheads, what do i have?
I'm going to link you a guide to controlling acne. I know you don't have acne, but most of the steps will apply to you.
Just skip the tea tree oil/benzoyl peroxide step.
http://juliakazan.blogspot.com/2008/07/g鈥?/a>
Oh, and if you don't open the guide know this -- DON'T USE BAR SOAP! Bar soap is held together by stuff that clogs pores -- even the clear acne bars.
Hope this helps!Clogged pores, whiteheads, what do i have?
Might be ';keratosis pilaris';... i had this, it's like acne but it happens in the hair follicles rather than in the pores. Google it!
Oh yeah, and there are lots of things dermatologists can try to clear it up, but ultimately you usually just grow out of it. I did. Cetaphil face cleanser is my favorite and you can get it just about anywhere, no dermatologist necessary.

I find that neutrogena helps clear skin alot. Alot drink tons of water it really helps hydrate your skin and get rid of your acne.

try that. It clears your pores. Takes the dirt and oil out. =]
Good luck.

Steam your face! It will open your pores and make getting those tough spots easier. Just boil some water, put it in a large bowl and hold your face over it for as much as you can handle. You can put a towel over your head too so the steam won't escape so quickly.
I know this may sound gross, but by poping them will be quicker and you wont feel that tight feeling. All you need to do is squeeze it on both ends.

Best makeup that doesnt clog pores?
really i just wear concealer, a little eyeshadow, and eyeliner. But obviously i put the concealer over the zits that appear like mainly on my forehead and chin but since i do that, i want it to also get rid of the acne at the same time, if there is anything like that...if not, just recomend something that doesnt clog my pores please so acne doesnt come back in the same spot. I swear, its just a vicious cycle! lol
Thank you!Best makeup that doesnt clog pores?

You can't permanently reduce the size of pores, but you can temporarily shrink them with certain types of products. Neostrata makes a great glycoclic toner that can help minimize pores and keep them from getting clogged.How do i make my pores smaller on my nose?

If I get fine beard growing over my cheeks should I shave it as usual? Im trying to prevent pores on my face?
Im a 24yr old, olive complexion male %26amp; just recently starting growing a light, full beard. You can start having beard growing stronger where you shave, but would also like to maintain a clean look. Should I just shave as normal %26amp; deal with beard growing over my cheeks or try something different??? PLEASE HELPIf I get fine beard growing over my cheeks should I shave it as usual? Im trying to prevent pores on my face?
To keep it clean, your best bet is to shave regularly. Nothing else you can do- grow it or shave it. (lasers and waxing are options, but not good ones, IMO, as the first is irreversible and the second is painful)

Anyone with large pores, sensitive and oily skin, what pore minimizer brand do you use?
1) A thin layer of Milk of Magnesia. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off w/ tepid water. Absorbs oil %26amp; tightens pores.
2) Beauty w/o Cruelty clay mask or Origins charcoal mask
3) Murad AHA/BHA facial gel cleanser
Others swear by the aspirin mask or toner. You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.
Or use one of these variations to make a cleanser or mask:
Mixture: 6 crushed aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.
Mix half a teaspoon of crushed tablets with aloe vera gel.
Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.
Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.
For toner:
8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin
or
mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

My wife says that I have garlic pouring out of my pores...?
she states that I constantly smell like garlic. My breath, my pores, my sweat. I shower, brush my teeth 2-3 times daily, floss, etc. Everything that I should be doing I do.
I personally cannot smell it nor do I hear it from anyone else. I am ruling out the fact that she is trying to be a bee-yotch.
Any ideas or suggestions of what I could try?My wife says that I have garlic pouring out of my pores...?
your diet of too much garlic may be the cause of your problem but if you are not eating garlic at all, it may be caused by internal problems in your body so you have to consult an internist doctor. btw, are you gaelic? cheers!My wife says that I have garlic pouring out of my pores...?
Tell her that all French and Italian men eat lots of garlic so
they can be super sexy in bed. (Eating lots of garlic will
keep you alive after 50, when most men are having strokes.)
I think she's looking for something to ***** about.
Take a long bath in epsom salts and some musk bath salts
and see if that helps.
are you french or italian? because if you are, that's normal. cheers!
Garlic can be smelled on the body, even right after a shower, as is true of a number of other foods and spices. Usually you do not smell these things on yourself. Garlic is very good for the health, so try to get your wife to eats lots of it. If she eats garlic too, she won't notice it on you.
As others have noted, if you smell like garlic but don't eat garlic, there could be a problem -- tell your doctor.
Go to GNC and get a body detox. kit....you have to drink this mixture every so often for a few days and it cleans your system out. If you still have problems after this you should see a doc.
stop eating garlic filled foods. That's nasty and people with sensitive sniffers don't want to smell that.
Tell her to stop b-s-ing you and move on.
Are you eating a lot of garlic? If you are it might just be pouring out of your pores! The smell of garlic can be excreted through your skin when you sweat.
If you're not, try and see if anyone else smells it. They might not be telling you because they don't want to hurt your feelings.
If anyone else smells it and you're not eating garlic, that could be a medical problem.
If nobody else smells it, your WIFE might have a medical problem that's causing her to smell it.
You actually sweat garlic out when you eat it, so she is probably being honest!! Stop eating gArLiC! lOlman makeup

your diet of too much garlic may be the cause of your problem but if you are not eating garlic at all, it may be caused by internal problems in your body so you have to consult an internist doctor. btw, are you gaelic? cheers!My wife says that I have garlic pouring out of my pores...?
Stop eating gArLiC! lOl

Does anyone have a solution to oily skin, blackheads and large pores?
im pretty sure the blackheads and large pores are due to my oily skin...
i have battled these thigns for years.....and don't knwo what to do..... i have been to the doctor..it helps minimally...
what can i do??? anything??? i am very hygenic and drink lots of water..
i am really jsut out of options..thanksDoes anyone have a solution to oily skin, blackheads and large pores?
Just make sure you clean your skin with good quality cleanser every day, and moisturise it with a product very light so as not to block the poresDoes anyone have a solution to oily skin, blackheads and large pores?
I have the same skin problems! I should say had. I am now using Oil of Olay and could not be happier. I have tried so many things and fall in love with them and a month later they no longer do what they promise and my skin is breaking out and itchy and oily and painful again. Oil of Olay's website is awesome you can take a quiz to target your specific skin care needs and then print out your skin care regimen. They may suggest an expensive moisturizer but it is worth it. I did spring for it. I ran out and I am using the cheap Oil of Olay moisturizer with SPF and I like it too but the other does help with cell turnover which is a gentle exfoliation. It leaves my skin smoother and brighter but the cheaper one is still fine. Dr. Oz on the Oprah show was talking about skin care and he said forget the expensive stuff go for products with vitamin complexes and retinol. His number one suggestion as a Dr. was Oil of Olay and it is all cheap. I like the Olay regenerist daily regenerating cleanser. It's in a tube and at Wal-Mart it is only $6 and some change. They also make cleansing cloths which you just pull out of the package and use, no water required, and they really work! I use them at night. Hope this is helpful
I heard putting lemon juice on your face before bed,then don't wash it off till morning,
My remedy would be to wash your face up to 3 times a day.Wash with very very warm water and noxema but finish off with cold water to close the pores. Pat your face dry. There is enough mosturizer in the noxzema you wont need a lotion.

Skin has become over pigmented and is with scars and pores. Please help me.?
My skin has become worse with too much over pigmentation and pores. I am going for marriage next month and would like to look good. I have tried several products including Obagi but nothing works good. I have oily skin and some acne. Can any one of you with some information tell me how could I make my skin look better and get rid of pigmentation and scars? I would like to know if there are any natural ways that would give me some results. Please help me ASAP. Thanks a lot.
- BobSkin has become over pigmented and is with scars and pores. Please help me.?
steam your face ,take a pot of boiling water and a towel and put the towel over your head and lean your face close to the pot of water but be careful not to get to close ,and stay under it for like 10 minutes ,this will open up your pores and take dirt away and give you a radiant glow,for your scars try using a natural product like tamanu oil or even emu oil is great for scars goodluck and congratulations on your getting married,i'm sure you will make a gorgeous brideSkin has become over pigmented and is with scars and pores. Please help me.?
Go to a dermatologist!!! Or else Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer, SPF 15. It does not irritate my skin at all and it has made it so much more even and just ... perfect.
Use a skin lightening cream on the pigmentation. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do for acne scars.
Mary Kay has a great product called even complexion essence that evens out your skin tone and takes away brown and red spotted areas. I've used it for over 6 months now and noticed a significant improvement in my skin. You can get it at http://www.marykay.com/micheleleahjones
get this nice black licorice lightening soap to lighten the picmentations.. you have a month to even out your skin tone.. it's a safe, gentle soap that has good reviews and good results.. i've used it and can say it works -
Wash your face 3 times a day with just a ';dove'; bar of soap. That will really clear up your face alot. For the pigmentation--Just get a tan. When your skin is darker it will hide the discolor. It will also too help your skin clear up some. Good Luck. All the best.

Does makeup cover large pores? if so, whats a good drugstore brand to use?
i hate my pores and i have put a liquid foundation over them before but it looks bad, plus i have dry skin please help me!Does makeup cover large pores? if so, whats a good drugstore brand to use?
Makeup does not ';hide'; pores, but some types can make pores less obvious. Look for foundations which ';mattify'; the skin, meaning they help absorb oil and leave the skin looking smoother and less shiny. Mineral foundations are a good place to start, since they are not absorbed readily into the skin (so fewer breakouts), and some contain mica which helps reflect light against the skin as a way of hiding minimal flaws like larger pores, blemishes, and uneven areas of pigment. As long as you use a good moisturizer, powdered mineral foundations will not dry your skin out any more than liquid foundations. Neutrogena Mineral Sheers is a drugstore brand that is relatively inexpensive and one of my favorites for everyday.Does makeup cover large pores? if so, whats a good drugstore brand to use?
yes and maybelline dream matte mouse is wonderful!
~~~Avon has a really great Pore reducer Mask! also when you wash your face, do your final rinse with a cooler water,,that will help shrink pores. I love the liquid foundation that that Lorel' makes called Infallable, works wonders, it goes on so nice and it covers undereye circles and gives you that young dewy look without that supershiney greasy feeling or look!
What I use is Clinique's Pore Perfection...you rub it on underneath foundation and it visibly reduces pores and mattifies the skin. It really works, I use it on my cheeks and chin, and those areas look so much better!
if you get make-up in ur pores ull get pimples
foundation with silicone , eg cyclomethicone , dimethicone will usually has matting effect , which make pores looks less obvious, since you have dry skin , i wouldnt recommand a mousse foundation which usually makes the skin even drier, try a liquid foundation and where you have bigger pores , point the end of the brush towards the skin several time instead of brushing on , this will help the building up of foundation on pores
nope, makeup usually doesn't cove pores very well. Wash your face twice a day, and use a moisturizer. Then, if you need it, use foundation.
Makeup that covers large pores?
I'm so self concious about the pores on my nose. Can anyone, who also has this problem, suggest a makeup that covers pores?Makeup that covers large pores?
Clinique's Pore Minimizer before foundation is greatMakeup that covers large pores?
You might want to minimize the pores first - there's plenty of masks you can use:
Egg mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk4xdYt3i鈥?/a>
Aspirin mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-Hksg8B4鈥?/a>
And Clay mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-x6hCI9X鈥?/a>
But if you're too lazy for these little home regimens, I personally like the Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser as a mask - it's really cooling %26amp; minimizes the pores around my nose pretty well.
As for covering, 1st it's good to use a primer which is supposed to fill in your pores (usually not completely) as a base so your makeup goes on smoother, and for heavy coverage, I recommend the Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation b/c it gives very good coverage %26amp; doesn't accentuate my pores.
Don't rely so much on the make-up. Get Biore ';Pore refining scrub';, it will visibly minimize your pores and with time improve your skin.
I would also recommend giving yourself a facial at least twice a week (steam your face over a hot water - just don't get burned! While your face is nice and red, apply Biore scrub, work it in your skin. Rinse with warm water and then look at yourself in the mirror and gently squeez gunk out of the pores. After you finish, rinse again. Apply a light toner (the best one would for a sensitive skin, so it doesn't over dry your face). Then apply an oil-free moisturizer to keep the pores from clogging up (I love Biore's and Clinique's moisturizer gel (NOT the lotion).
If you absolutely need to cover your pores with make-up, I would recommend getting a water-based primer (like LORAC, Bare Minerals, etc) and then apply a foundation. My favorite one is Clinique's ';Super Fit';, it covers pores nicely.
Good luck!
your best bet would be to use a primer before your makeup. smashbox makes nice primers, and if your looking for a cheaper option, try avon magix. its not bad, doesnt really control oil, but it does smooth out my skin. try wrapping an ice cube in a paper towel and putting it over your pores before the primer and makeup to shrink the pore size :)
when i get zits, i usually use a foundation and use it. i always do that with basic make-up. but when i get zits, i have a powder that mainly every makup products has. it's just a powder. it hides it really good. get the Loreal kind. any kind works, based on your facial issuse [:
google Dinair Airbrush Makeup its amazing! it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin. ive been using it for 2 years now and im super happy with it...anywho, hope i helped...=)
When you wash your face at night and in the morning, use cold water. Why? Because cold water closes pores and keeps dirt from re-entering.
no but i have that same problem
and with makeup on them it looks really bad...
i find that the less makeup you use the better it looks...
but if you find out you should let me know if you can:)
You could try an astringent, like witch hazel, if they're clean. To minimize them, they have to be clean first. Lots of times what seems like enlarged pores is actually dirt and oil buildup. Once the pores are clean, through a facial, etc, they usuallly go down on their own. If not, try the witch hazel.Minimize your pores...is any product out there to shrink/minimize your facial pores? Biore has an entire line of pore shrinking products. Although, I have heard that you can not shrink them, just make them less noticable.
Does bioxet close the pores?
If i use bioxet does it close the pores of the treated area? How long does it take to work?Does bioxet close the pores?
I'm not so sure, i read in the net bioxet is more on reducing unwanted hair.
There is a treatment to close those big open pores but it will take several session, i don't know if it's available in your place. The treatment is called RF (radio frequency) not only it close pores but also help reduce pimple break-out and eventually makes your face more radiant since it also removes dead skin cells..
What kind of water do you use to open your pores: hot or cold?
Don't listen to the idiots saying cold. Think logically- you sweat, your body heats up, your pores open. Cold closes. Good luck!What kind of water do you use to open your pores: hot or cold?
Hot water opens, or expands, your pores, as it does to everything else.
Cold water closes, or contracts, your pores.
If anyone has ever taken earth science, (usually in middle school) this is one of the first things they teach you...What kind of water do you use to open your pores: hot or cold?
If you soak a wash cloth in hot water, then wait for it to cool Just a little bit (until it's warm/hot), then lay it over your face for a minute or so, and that really opens up your pores. I do this on my nose before I use my nose strips. ;) lol
Hot. When you get a facial they use that hot steam machine on you to open your pores. Cold closes your pores.
:)
hot if you read cosmo girl (this issue) it has a page that says how to give your own spa treatment, then it says use hot water
Will coconut butter clog pores when used on face as a moisturizer? hoping for doctor or np to respond...?
i know coconut butter and oil is very healthy and i've been using it to moisturize my face....but im getting a little worried that it might clog pores. im not interested in your thoughts or openion....i only want to know the facts. So if someone knows anything about it, plz let me knowWill coconut butter clog pores when used on face as a moisturizer? hoping for doctor or np to respond...?
I am a licensed esthetician. I am a skin care specialist if you don't know what that is.
Coconut oil/butter is very hydrating and great for the body. Not so much the face. The fat molecules in coconut oil/butter are way too big for the skin. Making it too heavy for the facial skin. If you have super dry skin it may be ok for the night time. But any other skin type, I would recommend staying away from it for your face it may clog your pores.
Whats better for clogged pores, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid? ?
i wash my face EVERYDAY twice a day and still at the end of the week i will sit infront of a mirror for like 2 hours and squeeze out my face. after its all clear it will all be back again by next week. i dont get it! it cant be makeup because i do not apply foundation on my forehead just my face and my forehead is just as bad as the rest of my faceWhats better for clogged pores, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid? ?
I use the Oil Free Acne Cleanser with Microclear Technology by Neutrogena. It's in an Orange bottle. Make sure it says ';With Microclear Technology'; on it. It's somewhere between 7 - 9$ at Target. And always moisturize your skin if it feels tight. I use the Soft Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 by Clean and Clear. It's, also, somewhere between 7 - 9$ at Target. Cleanse your face twice a day, once when you wake up and once before you go to bed. The reason you want it to say “With Microclear Technology” is because Microclear delivers Acne medication faster than if you don’t have it. It’s also an exfoliater, but since the cleanser is a gel it has no beads or harsh scrub and thus is an extremely good option for those with sensitive skin.
Benzoyl peroxide works by introducing oxygen into the pore, thereby killing P. acnes. When the bacteria population is reduced, the number of breakouts on the skin is reduced as well.
Another factor that makes benzoyl peroxide so effective is its ability to help rid the follicle of excess dead skin cells. Clearing the pore of cellular debris will lessen the chance of pore blockages, or comedones. Because of this, benzoyl peroxide helps prevent breakouts before they start.
The use of benzoyl peroxide often must be continued, even after acne clears up. Once treatments are stopped, bacterium populations can increase and acne may return. Your dermatologist can help you determine how long to continue your benzoyl peroxide treatments.
The most common side effects from benzoyl peroxide are dryness and flaking. They are generally mild and can be reduced by using an oil-free moisturizing lotion daily. Other side effects include excessive dryness and flaking, redness, and burning.
Salicylic acid helps correct the abnormal desquamation process that occurs in acne-prone skin. It works as an exfoliant, promoting the sloughing away of dead skin cells.
Salicylic acid is especially helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle. It encourages the shedding of dead skin cells from within the follicle, helping keep the pores clear of cellular debris. In this way, it reduces the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.Salicylic acid can cause stinging, burning, and skin irritation. You may also experience dryness, peeling, and flaking of the skin. These side effects can usually be effectively controlled with daily use of an oil-free moisturizer. Whats better for clogged pores, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid? ?
Sometimes pimples can occur on forehead specially when you have a bangs and your skin is very sensitive. If you have a bangs try to put a clip or headband to avoid hair contact to your face. Use warm water to dampen skin and cold water when washing or removing the facial wash, try Nu Skin products they are effective and safe. Because if you are going to choose from salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide you should avoid sun exposure or else your face will look too red, not good for a sensitive skin...
Honestly I had the same issue I looked like a pepporani pizza and I hated it. unitl I tried witch hazel it natural and you can get it at any drug store any major grocery store by the make up isle around there I use it twice a day just wipe and go and its like 3 to 5 bucks for a huge bottle cheap it last like almost 2 months and it picks up all my dirt and I notice a diffrence right away next day and it shrinks my pores and makes my skin healthy and I dont get break outs
Does anyone know a good way to help close pores on your face!!!?
cold water and a pore minimizerDoes anyone know a good way to help close pores on your face!!!?
You mean decrease their appearance right? Closing your pores is impossible and if it was it would result in tons of pimples. You can temporarily make them look smaller by cooling your skin (let's say with a toner) and applying a primer (a silicone base for make-up). I think applying something acidic can also help (lemon juice or glycolic acid).Does anyone know a good way to help close pores on your face!!!?
Your pores are what help your body breathe so closing them is not a good idea and it is impossible. My suggestion to you would be to get pore minimizer medication. I used Acutane prescribed by my doctor when I was 14 and within 6 months I had not a single zit or breakout. They might put you on Retinamicro first but all that does is dry your face out and make it look like your peeling for a month straight...icky stuff..your choice
yes. there is a line of skincare called boscia. they have many different product to make your skin flawless. AND it is 100% natual
vaseline is good for your skin. Im not sure about nivea.Can i use vaseline products on ma face? if yes wich products? i have clogged pores?
I use Vaseline on my skin every night %26amp; it doesnt hurt my skin at all. It makes it very smooth, soft %26amp; it helps lock in moisture. You should give it a try! I hope this helps! Good Luck :)
Check out the site.Perhaps there is a certain cream that you may like for you skin or just try out as many as you like. Some are sensitive cream for sensitive skin,others have aloe in them depends what your looking for in a cream.Vaseline has many products for skin,it's up to you to try them out,try to get samples online so you can test them before you waste money on a product you don't like.
www.nivea.com
Also has great creams alot of people use both of these products because they have been around for so long. Again,you will have to look into which products you feel are best for you skin.
www.neutrogena.com
Neutrogena also has a large selection on skin products that are great for your skin. There are moisterizers for dry skin,again there are lotions for sensitive skin and there is face scrubs to remove black heads and dirt from skin.There are so many different ones to choose from if your looking towards also saving a few dollars in your journey for good skin care these products are a little bit pricey depending where you shop.The neutrogena lotion for men I hear is great. Neutrogena has a whole section just for men products.
Good luck on your search for great skin.
If you have clogged pores, you might not want to use Vaseline. It is moisturizing but it doesn't allow your skin to ';breathe'; and can trap oil and bacteria in your pores. You should look for a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog pores.
Vaseline is a bleached petro-product. Not exactly something that will benefit your body.
Try this natural solution instead:
After your shower, rub a tiny bit of clear vegetable oil, such as sunflower or olive, on your skin. Natural oils help feed your skin cells for natural protection, petro-products don't.
Feed your skin, don't rub toxins on it.
Do any women ( or guys! ) have advice on products/ tips to minimise the size of pores on the face?
Wash your face thoroughly 2-3 times a day with a good skincare product.Do any women ( or guys! ) have advice on products/ tips to minimise the size of pores on the face?
You need something cheaper, like Neutrogena. I like the pump, as I clean my face in the shower with a wash rag %26amp; a pump squirt of Neutrogena. You may want to buy the cleansing cloths for removing make-up, if you wear it.
Honestly, it is best to rarely wear make-up, never smoke, rarely tan, %26amp; never drink alcohol in excess. Vices like these will ruin your pretty skin.Do any women ( or guys! ) have advice on products/ tips to minimise the size of pores on the face?
Use prevage twice a day, I know the stuff is expensive, but coming from a guy, trust me the stuff works! It's like $150 for a bottle, but it lasts for like 3 months. Prevage litteraly will shrink your pores. Good luck
You will have stream over your face then an estetician will empty the pores and will use the proper products and massage.If you want to get rid of pores exactly you can try dermabrazyon laser peeling.Search for maya beauty engineering products.
I bought some pressed powder that doesnt clog my pores will i still get more pimples using this product?
Well, if you know it's not good, or not the one then u might have to get rid of it. It might cause allergy, and i dont know if u r allergic to make up, but if u usually do, than well ...u know the answer. U rather to have pimples and keep using it?
It still depends on ur skin type. Maybe some type of skin will get infection and has pimples because of the new product. But if you use it more than once, it will used to it and it will be fine. But that's rarely. mOst people just get pimples and pimples whenever they use it. it doesn't matter new or old.I bought some pressed powder that doesnt clog my pores will i still get more pimples using this product?
Good luck on that one, you know how some companies would lie about anything just to get you to buy their products, when it comes to your skin you will have to do the trial and error until you find the right one. Although it helps a lot if you know what type of skin you have, oily, dry, etc.I bought some pressed powder that doesnt clog my pores will i still get more pimples using this product?
Pimples aren't always due to makeup sometimes it's hormones... sorry I wish I knew exactly.
No, since it doesn't clog your pores you skin should be in good shape, just stay away from the liquids. :)
thank you i just got 2 points sorry i normally answer sorry sorry sorry i can not say sorry enough
unfortunately you'll get them no matter what pruduct you use, it will only reduce your chances of it
if it's 'bare minerals' i dont think so, other brands may vary
would you eat this .....i wouldnt put anything on my face ....iwouldnt eatoreal
after you use the strips, wash so you wash inside the holes, so theres no more dirt. The holes are fine, and you can't really get rid of them because thats where the dirt was held for a while but they shoyuold be gone from 1-2 days or even overnight!
I have oily skin.i have small pores on my cheeks tht look sometimes ugly.How do i get rid of these open pores?
Sorry but you can't 'get rid of your pores' they are there, and that's about it. You can buy products that help this, Clinque had great facial products to disguise pores, has Biore is a lot cheaper and has scrubs and lotions to help refine your pores too. I use a pore minimizer from clinque and the scrubs from biore, and I love em!
But serious you cant just get rid of them :/I have oily skin.i have small pores on my cheeks tht look sometimes ugly.How do i get rid of these open pores?
Try using good face creams,and keep ur face dryI have oily skin.i have small pores on my cheeks tht look sometimes ugly.How do i get rid of these open pores?
TRY SOME OF THE NIVEA SENSITIVE PRODUCTS
I don't think you can change the size of your pores, but there are ways to make them less noticeable.
If you keep them clean then even if they're large pores, they're hardly noticeable, this can be done with regular cleansing and toning, moisturizing the area. A biweekly scrub is good for your skin too.
Good foundation makes them less visible, but then you're running the risk of clogged pores if your pores are already large/open.
How to get rid off open pores?
put cold water on a wash cloth and apply to face and rub. clean your face with cold water and soap for a few minutes. put warm water to close it. Also, Acne Clearing Scrub works great make sure you get name brand though, it DOES make a difference.How to get rid off open pores?
They actually make scrubs and lotions now that declare that they help to reduce the size of pores. A good scrub that has granules to help clean out the pores is good. When done rinsing or wiping it off, do splash cold water on your face. Cold water is know the help close pores. And again a lotion that advertises to help reduce the size of pores after the cold water. I also have recently discovered an acne medication that can be used for other things - like pore size reduction. You used to be able to get this kind of stuff in prescription form only, but I found it on the shelf and it is called ';Persa-Gel'; by Clean and Clear. It's one that will normally dry your skin out a bit, but for your goal that is a good thing. It helps w/ acne, acne scarring, pore size, etc. I don't have bad acne but do get the occasional big onez!!! It works quick and if I remember correctly it was less than $5.00. By drying out my skin a bit, my pore size has greatly reduced. Oh, also, just like cold water - using a toner or astringent has the same effect of making your pores close.How to get rid off open pores?
try using special ';pore refining'; cleansers and scrubs specially made for that. and when you're done washing your face, splash a bit of cold water on it before drying off, it will help to close them up a bit.
try washing yourface with cold cold water
it usually closes up your pores..
wear those andrea face treatment their 99 cents and they shrink pores
use Ponds pore care pore tightening.
What is good to swrenk facial pores?
There really isn't any way to shrink them, but you can make them appear smaller temporarily using a good primer under foundation. Smashbox primers are good. I have a friend who swears by Dr. Feelgood. You can also try philosophy's The Present. Don't glop these products on... a little goes a long way.
If makeup's not your thing, I've found that regular exfoliation can make pores appear smaller over time. Also, personally, I've found that using Olay Regenerist serum has really decreased the size of my pores.What is good to swrenk facial pores?
Will my makeup look smoother if i tighten up my pores with pore tightening cream?
my pores are not that big, there medium i guess, but when i put my makeup on you can see my pores and it seems like it makes my makeup look bad, so i thought if i used pore tightening cream it would make my skin look smoother , so can i have your opinion on this? thanks!Will my makeup look smoother if i tighten up my pores with pore tightening cream?
I am a Mary Kay sales director and have been working to help girls/ladies with this issue for over six years so have a few thoughts. Are you using a complete skin care line....cleanser, moisturizer and foundation (all from the same brand) This will make a huge difference. If not, I can send you some samples to try to see if you can tell a difference. If you are then you may need to add a mask and then last of all use a product that tightens the skin and reduce the size of pores.
It may just be as simple as needing to adjust the products that you're currently using. Let me know if you want to try an at home facial and I can get it in the mail to you today :)Will my makeup look smoother if i tighten up my pores with pore tightening cream?
A good pore tightening toner would help. You might want to try a relatively new line of product called primers. They are applied right before any foundation, and they usually have a silicone base that acts as an invisible filler. They're great!!! You can spend a little to a lot, $15-$50 depending on whether you go drugstore, or department store.
You also might want to look into one of the natural mineral based powder foundations, like a ';Bare Essentials'; type. You can find them on the web.
It may help. Unless someone has tiny pores, or uses way too much makeup, they are almost always visible, even under makeup.
Regular, light, exfoliation is what has helped me the most with makeup looking smooth. That and finding a good quality makeup for my skin type. (under thirty, I'd suggest Clinique, over thirty Estee lauder, Elizabeth Arden or Lancome) Sure it's more expensive, but you use less, it lasts a lot longer, and it actually has some things in there that benefit your skin, like 15 or more SPF.
Does beer comes through your pores?
How do you stop beer from leaking through your pores. I had 10 drinks and im only 16 and my parents asked if i did and they are suspicious. How can u cover the smellDoes beer comes through your pores?
I heard that it can. Take a hot shower with lots of soap. Drink plenty of water and brush your teeth. Eating different foods wont help your pore though.Does beer comes through your pores?
Why Would You Be Drinking At 16
Anyways....
# Eat aromatic foods. Foods that are strong in flavor and smell are always good, not to mention food has a sobering effect. Anything with garlic and or onion is effective, and spicy foods are a must also. If you can mix and match all three of these its a winning combo. Potato chips and peanut butter are also good. After eating extremely smelly food, have a few pieces of gum, and drink something with a little sugar and caffeine, like Coke, as to wash everything down and maybe help out your already intoxicated state. Then wait a few before going home.
# Try coffee It is strongly scented and may help with the smell of alcohol.
# Chew gum. Gum can be helpful, but can also hurt the process by showing that you're trying to hide your drinking by adding a strong minty or fruity smell to the alcohol on your breath, and sometimes can even intensify it. So, you will want to use gum in addition to the other steps. Always have some on you. The strong sugar-free dental gum is the best, with flavors like peppermint and ';ice';. The more burn, the better. There are products like ';Breath Assure'; that work from a stomach level which is good, but how many of us tend to have something like that stumbling home wasted after an all-nighter?
# Brush your teeth. After eating aromatic food and chewing gum (there is no real order in which to take these steps) brush your teeth. Use mouthwash also, brands such as ';Listerine'; are highly reccomended. Tongue scrapers can be useful, though not as widely used as mouthwash.
I know you don't want to hear this but.. The best way is not to drink. You cannot cover the smell. Alcohol is released from your breath ,urine and through the pores of you skin.
However for now I would suggest a long HOT shower and drink lots of water.
Please don't drink till your 21 and then only in moderation. I know it sucks but you are still growing. Far better things in life that just getting drunk. Try sky diving now that is a rush!
they arent suspicious, they know for sure i'd bet.
try cologne tho i guess, or go take a shower or something and brush your teeth
Drink vodka instead, way less smell.
How can you shrink your pores? other than having a peel?
There is nothing that will do it permantly. YOu can use Glycolic acid or Tretinoin ( Retin A) but it will work only for as long as you use the products.How can you shrink your pores? other than having a peel?
you can shrink them briefly just by making them cold.
the best way to clean your pours is to put put warm water on them so they open, just be careful what products you then choose to use.How can you shrink your pores? other than having a peel?
I honest believe that you cannot do it - any cosmetic would be temp. solution and chemical peels....oooh!
i think hot water or steam opens them, therefore cold water will close them.
use a cooling cleanser
1. get a clean towel and put it under hot water ( real hot if u can handle it)
2. lay it on ur face and wipe all over ur face
3. use any cleanser to clean ur face
4. wipe of cleanser
5. use a cooling cleanser
6. and then use very icey or just cold water to rinse ur face.
7. if u put lotion use 1 without oil
trust me it works!!!
Biore makes a line of products to shrink your pores. I've used the wash and it seems to help. There are several products in the line. I'd try them before I went in for a peel.
you can shrink them briefly just by making them cold.
the best way to clean your pours is to put put warm water on them so they open, just be careful what products you then choose to use.How can you shrink your pores? other than having a peel?
I honest believe that you cannot do it - any cosmetic would be temp. solution and chemical peels....oooh!
Pores on a leaf's surface that take in carbon dioxide?
stomataPores on a leaf's surface that take in carbon dioxide?
These are called stoma. They bring in carbon dioxide and when this meets with the water to create sugar and oxygen, the oxygen goes out of the leaves through the stoma. Stoma comes from the Greek word for mouth.
I got a rash from a night cream I was using, and now it is going away but my pores stayed bigger, any advice?
Your skin care problem is obviously the ingredients in the product. Most skin care problems come from synthetic compounds that are ineffective and harmful. For example, parabens are put in skin care products and other products to promote a longer shelf life. They are in effect preservatives. However, they have been found in breast cancer patients, so they are under suspicion. Avoid using a product with anything that says ';paraben'; until the jury comes in. Alcohol, petrolatum are also quite common but are not good for skin. Petrolatum clogs the pores and alcohol dries out the skin causing the body to produce too much sebum or natural oil therefore oiliness, acne, etc. Since you have an existing problem just stop using anything store bought, even out of health stores. You and everyone should be using natural skin care products that are truly natural with absolutely no synthetic ingredients. My wife and I use only one company because what they have works and is safe and effective. Go here for more advice and information: http://www.XtendSkinCare.com I think you will be very glad you did. should i use scrubbing cloth daily or at all on my face? i don't want clogged pores and i thought it would be a good alternative to using scrubbing face wash cream. i have some mild acne and lots of acne scars.Should i use scrubbing cloth daily or at all on my face? i don't want clogged pores.?
Make sure you wash your face 2x daily. Don't scrub! It just makes acne worse because it aggravates. Use a french clay mask. It removes impurities from deep within and clears out pores and improves acne. It's cheap and effective. (You can buy french clay online or at a health food store.) Hope this helps!!Should i use scrubbing cloth daily or at all on my face? i don't want clogged pores.?
use a facewash with microscrubs.
Try Biore
Makeup help with giant pores?
I have pretty big pores and every time I put my powder on you can see them obviously. It also feels really heavy. I use L'oreal True Match Compact Makeup. Does anyone know what kind will help me? I want something real light that you can't even tell I have any on. Oh and it needs to be something that I can get at a Drug Store or Wal Mart.
Also; What kind of eye shadow would look good on me if I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and medium skin tone.Makeup help with giant pores?
Using a toner after you wash your face will help with your pores. I think Maybelline has a new matte foundation that reduces them too
