How can you close open pores?

i have pores that look like black heads and i don't know how to close them!!!!!!!!!How can you close open pores?
To start with, make sure you consume a healthy and balanced diet and minimise junk food, spicy food, oily food, sugary food, fizzy drinks, tea and coffee. Replace these with fresh fruits and vegetables and natural fruit juices.

There is really no permanent remedy for open pores. Toner tightens pores temporarily, so make it a point to apply toner regularly, after cleansing. Also, wash your face with cool water.

Clean and Clear is a good face wash for oily skin. Also, open pores on your nose may mean that you have a tendency to develop blackheads. If this is the case, get your blackheads removed reguarly with the help of blackhead removal strips. Using a face scrub on your nose helps prevent the formation of blackheads. Make sure you use a scrub that suits you, becuase certain scrubs can cause a rash. You may have to test out different brands. You can get them at the grocery and drug stores. Apply astringent / toner to your face every night, after cleansing.

For scars and open pores, apply cucumber juice to your face, with a few drops of lemon juice. Wash off after ten minutes. Your complexion will look more even-toned.

Or

another external remedy, for the open pores, just mix lemon juice, tomato juice, rose water, plain yogurt and apply it on ur face for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Eay the leftover yogurt.

Ice cold water is excellent for the face. It increases circulation, brightens and tightens the skin and temporarily closes pores.

Skip applying moisturiser for now until your skin clears, unless you know what moisturiser suits you. Certain moisturising lotions may not suit you, so you will have to experiment to find a moisturiser that doesn't cause pimples. When you buy a moisturiser, check the date of manufacture, and go in for oil-free moisturiser.

Drink at least 6 glasses of water a day.

The lemon juice and cucumber should help. If you use foundation makeup to cover up, be sure to start all over with your cleaning your face when you get home.

Wear a sunblock whenever you go out in the sun.

I hope this helps. How can you close open pores?

if the black bits are raised slightly then these are blackheads if they aren't they are just blocked pores. the best way of getting rid of these is to follow a simple cleanse tone and moisturise routine twice daily. exfoliate three to four times a week and use face masks. this will help i promise I'm a beauty therapist. you don't need to buy expensive brands of these products 'simple' has a great range at low prices. hope this helps!!
First ya gots to get the blackhead out of the pore.

Use a biore pore strip (but not on sunburned skin--ouch!)

Then use a little witch hazel (it's a very good substitute for expensive toners!)

And keep your greasy-*** face clean, ya hear?

Damn kids, can't tell them nothin', then they gots a problem and they're all over ya ';waaah waaah I got blackheads waaaah waaah my hair's on fire waaaah waaaah help me I'm drowning';...

Thanks a lot, now you've made me spill my drink!
close open pores by putting a cold flannel on your face, use soap to wah your face as this will dry out your skin stopping nasty blackheads!
Use an ice cube on your face. This will make your skin contract (molecules that are cold move together, hot ones move apart.) Similarly, if you're trying to open up your pores to get batcteria, blackheads and pimples out, try a hot washcloth compress.
hot water or cold water
Put some icy cold water on your face. It will close your pores and force the dirt out.
i was watching a clean %26amp; clear commercial and the female used cold water to open her pores then she soaped her face and used warm water to close her pores........so instead of going through this whole hassle they invented clean and clear pore defining face wash or u can get da pads that have two sides.
Don't allow them to pass the Health Inspection.
Preparation H. Really.

You can't close them, but you can clean them out. Pores can be thought of like grocery bags. You can see them open when they're full of stuff. Get an extraction tool at Bed Bath and Beyond or Ulta. Wash and steam your face. Sterilize the tool, and use it to gently work the stuff out of the pore. Follow with a gentle astringent. Use a facial cleanser with glycolic acid to keep pores clean. Mask with a deep cleaning mud mask. Rinsing your face with cool water will also temporarily reduce the appearance of your pores.
try a clay masque or a face peel....biore heating masque is what i use..once a week...it works wonders
cold water, you are always too hot.
Welder
Cookie cutter response because I recommend it to everyone for every skin problem;

The best method, in fact the best thing for skin full stop is Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) - this is where you use oil to cleanse your skin.

Most people start with a 50:50 mix of Extra Virgin Olive Oil : Castor Oil, EVOO is moisturizing where as Castor Oil is cleansing 鈥?some people will use other oils (I personally use nothing but Jojoba oil) and will change the mix to perhaps 75:25 or 25:75 depending on their skin type (i.e. if your skin is dry you would use more EVOO to moisturize), and some will also add essential oils such as lavender or tea tree oil (both help prevent and treat spots) 鈥?one advantage of OCM is that it is totally customisable so if your skin type changes, as it does very often, you can change the mix to suit your skin.

You put the oil onto your face, then take a facecloth that has been into hot water and rung out and put the facecloth onto your face, leave the facecloth on your face for a minute so it is similar to steaming your face to open up your pores, then wipe off the oil 鈥?follow with a toner such as Rosewater to help clean off any small excess oil and tighten your pores after they have been opened by the heat of the facecloth.

Reason it works is because it does not strip your skin of it's natural oils 鈥?when you wash your face with washes or soap it strips the natural oils that help keep your skin healthy and help keep your pores clean, so your skin is not only not as healthy as it should be but your skin also produces a load more oil to make up for all it has lost.

Reason for OCM being so good is not only is it VERY good for your skin, but it is also very customisable, cheap, easy to get a hold of, easy to use, does not support animal testing (as many commercial products do) and does not contain a load of toxic chemicals (as many commercial products do). When it comes specifically to pores it cleans them out very well, followed by a good toner such as Rosewater it can result in healthy pores and keep them closed off as much as they can be 鈥?remembering of course that they can never be closed.
