The poors on my cheeks are large. Is there a way to shrink them and even make them disappear? I have acne prone skin so I have to use all oil-free products. Any suggestions (especially inexpensive ones) would be greatly appreciated. Can pores disappear?
Pores will never go away, just like the person above me said, your skin needs to breathe, but you can make them smaller. and Unfortunately acne is non cure able. But treatable and that's a plus! I work in skin care, so I know a few products. You can try Patricia Wexler's acne anti script. Don't be scared. It says ';anti-aging'; and acne/ Although I don't know your age, using a ';anti-aging/acne kit'; is not bad on your skin. You are never too young to start. Plus Patricia Wexler's anti-aging/acne kit is good for sun spots, scar's and marks left by old acne too. The Patricia Wexler kit is about $40.00 and it's a month supply. You can buy it at any Bath and Body Works Location. Patricia is a dermatologist based in NYC, and is named one of the three best dermatologist in the WORLD. If you are not sure about the Wexler I'd recommend ';C.O Bigelow'; face care. It is also sold at Bath and Body Works. They have a wide range of face care in the C.O Bigelow line. For Dry skin, Oily, Normal, and Combo skin. But since you say you have acne, try the products for Oily skin. Bath and Body Works has a 100% guarantee on all products, so if it doesn't help return for your money back. I do not recomment Pro active, because if it may burn your skin, or dry it out. It maybe to harsh for your skin. Please take note whenever you try a new face care regimen you may be prone to more break-outs, and that is because your skin is getting use to the new items. So I recommend you try it for 30 days. Can pores disappear?
There is no way to make pores disappear or shrink them sorry. The thing to do to keep them from clogging up with dirt and oils is to clean it and dry then use a light protective moisturizer to help fill in the pores with what is needed to make skin healthy and do this twice a day and the number one thing you dont want to do is touch your face with your hands at all after moisturizing. By touching it it puts dirt and germs on your skin and pretty much rubs it into the pores and it also creates oil when manipulated by touching.
Also dont create more enlarged pores by squeezing any more.

They can't dissappear..but you can shrink them to where they look like they did.
There is only one way to fix yr problem permanently and that is Lazar resurfacing, but first you need to fix the actual acne problem by going to see a dermatologist and going on something like roaccutaine, then go and see a ';Plastic'; surgeon not a cosmetic surgeon, there is a difference and get Lazar done, yeah it will cost more but it will do the job ONCE instead of stupid creams that do not work on yr skin and you'll be disappointed cuz they don't work and you'll spend the same amount over time anyway so just save the money while you get the acne treatment done which will take a while so by the time yr done you'll have the money for the surgery.
There are so many products out there to minimize pores now.
Affordable.
Biore's pore minimizer line
Mid-Price
Clinique has a great pore minimizer line.
Higher End
Dr. Brandt also has a line call ';poreless';. You can purchase it at Nordstrom or at Sephora. There is a start up kit that it pretty affordable.
you cant make your pores dissapear. You need them anyway, you need your skin to breathe..
No, pores can't disappear, because they are part of your skin. You can use mild cleanser on regular basis, as well as freshly squeezed lemon juice as tonic (just avoid eye area) and clay masks (or baker's yeast masks) or pore minimizing products, Do not forget to remove make up (if any).
Try steam baths 2-3 X per week, if you don't have access boil water and put a towel behind your head and let the steam get to your skin.
Also ice may help shrink your pores. Follow a good skin treatment, stick to it and you will see the changes in a matter of weeks. Word of advice try to stick to the same brand. Mixing brands may create a chemical war on your skin. : )

How long does a clog pore take to become an acne?
i get small new acne on my face every day. and i've been trying to figure out what did i do that get my acne from different places.
I had no ideas sometimes why an acne would be at this spot or that spot of my face since i always clean my whole face throughly everyday. Can a clogged pore be invisible for days before it become an blemishes or acne, because i have no idea what's going on.How long does a clog pore take to become an acne?
Yes, the acne process starts about ten days before it becomes a pimple. That is why thorough cleansing every day is important!

Do any of those gimmicky pore cleanser appliances actually work?
I saw this thing today that is supposed to remove blackheads and whiteheads by doing some suction thing and spraying some kind of mist...is that all a bunch of hooey? Do you have any good poor cleansing tips or products that definitely show results? I just got a magnifying mirror and I don't like what I see!!!Do any of those gimmicky pore cleanser appliances actually work?
Most don't.
Neutrogena does. I don't have bad acne but my mom has adult acne and I tried some and now my skin is absolutely flawless.
Facewash works best for me because they wash away the gunk in your pores.
I would stay away from masks, though some actually work.Do any of those gimmicky pore cleanser appliances actually work?
yep some do
I'm 42 and haven't found anything better than using a washcloth. I use masks, toners and keep my skin moisturized.
Probably doesn't work. Most creams/lotions don't.
Nope they are all just hype. The only thing that is new and is raved about is Zeno.
Skin care can be a touchy thing for some. If you are prone to blackheads and other skin problems, I would avoid things such as oils.
In a word, to maximize the solution: Exfoliate. Then moisturize. The skin condition will improve. Essentially ... it's not a bunch of hooey at all. Finding the correct solution for your own individual issue may take some experimentation and time though. Don't get the cheap stuff.
The best thing I have come across is the Clarisonic brush. It works on clogged pores on your face or shoulders. I have been trying it for a few months and reviewed it on my blog www.truthinaging.com. It costs nearly $200 though, so a cheaper alternative is a good cleanser (even with the Clarisonic you need a good cleanser). If you can find one with black charcoal, that would be best.
I use Amla by Tracie Martyn. It is expensive but lasts about six months.
Avon has a good one. Pore reducer or something.

Does anyone know any home remedies for pores?
AROUND MY NOSE I HAVE SO MAJOR PORES TROUBLE. WHAT IS A GREAT HOME REMIDIES FOR PORES AND BLACKHEADSDoes anyone know any home remedies for pores?
How To Deal With Blackheads
Blackheads won't magically go away when you reach twenty-one, but proper cleansing techniques can get rid of them REGARDLESS of your age. It's all in how you care for your skin... it really is.
Here's How:
1. When open pores fill with sebum and are exposed to the air, the oil becomes oxidized and then turns black.
2. Be sure to eat as healthy a diet as you can. It really is important. My son noticed that when he consumed a lot of junk food, his skin grew oilier and tons of blemishes appeared. Sorry, but it's true.
3. It is just as important to be sure that you are adequately cleaning your face. We need to get the dirt and oil off the face each night. But washing too often can result in the oil being replaced. Wash twice a day, but do a thorough job.
4. Be sure to change your pillowcases every night. Oil can build up on the case and that could be ground into your skin.
5. Extractions can be easily done by a professional. It takes mere minutes and the blackheads are gone.
6. Be sure to spend extra cleaning time on the area that are most prone to blackheads. The nose is often forgotten and this area is often riddled with blackheads.
7. Be sure that the towel you are using is clean. A dirty towel will simply rub dirt/oil back into your skin.
8. Facial steamers can often loosen embedded blackheads, making removal easier.
* FACE BLACKHEADS
Usually blackheads are the result of oily skin and blocked pores. After a warm bath the face should be splashed with cold water.
IN a pan add 5-6 cups of water and add the juice of 1 lime. Remove from heat when the water boils. Place on a table and covering the head with a large towel, steam the face. Rub the blackheads firmly with a face towel after 10 minutes of steaming. Wash the face with chilled water to close the pores.
Tips 1:
Boil 3-4 cups of water and add 2 tsp soda bicarbonate to this. Steam a towel with this and place the towel on the face. Repeat 5-6 times. Now rub the face in the area of the blackheads with a paste of 1 tsp curd mixed with 1 tsp of rice flour. Wash with cold water.
Tips 2:
Rub a pinch of table salt mixed with a pinch of the soft soggy portion of a glycerin soap. (Pears) Rub well into the blackheads. Repeat for a week.
Tips 3:
Take 1 tsp of fresh coriander leaf juice with 陆 tsp of turmeric powder. Apply this at bed time and wash in the morning. Repeat for a week.
Tips 4:

Using egg whites as a mask will tighten your skin, thus reducing the size of the pores. Also, using the yellows of eggs in the same way will reduce breakouts. I would also try witch hazel, which will both tone your skin and reduce the amount of oil and black heads.
I also agree with the cornmeal and buttermilk scrub-the buttermilk is a natural source of lactic acid. Also you may want to try using sugar as a scrub.
Hope that helps!
this article has some great tips for the treatment of acne and scaring hope it helps
wipped egg whites shrinks pore size and which hazel is a good cleanser
Everyday before you go to bed, clean your face. Use pads or soap or whatever you need. After that, get something such as Noxzema and apply that to your nose. Leave that on for 10-20 minutes, wash it off, and go to bed. Do nightly for at least a fortnight. You should see some good results.
Those all sound like wonderfully thought out answers but mine is simple..and i kno it works b/c i JUST got rid of mine! yayness!!
everymorning, i'd look at the area beside my nose and i'd rub it with a wash cloth unitl i couldnt rub anymore. it would become red..but i did this for a very long time. just last wk...it peeled off! i didnt even kno that it could.
Corn Meal and butter milk..sounds gross but my grandmother told me about it when i was a teenager and it works if you can stand the smell of butter milk....use more corn meal than butter milk it makes kind of a scrub that exfoliates the skin...
For blackheads, I just press a dull piece of plastic or metal underneath them and they pop right out. But, unless you get some good answers, I'm still stuck with the pores which are just as bad.
I wonder if people in cold and less humid parts of the country get big pores. Somehow I thought mine came about due to hot, humid, sweaty weather.man makeup

Don't over due it on the make up! The more you cake on make up, the faster the aging process goes. Then you'll end up needing make up all day...everyday. It'll never end after that.
Go easy on your make up. Wash your face at night and in the morning(pat dry)
Don't smoke
Thats it:)

What at home kit works best to tighten skin and reduce pore size?
I once saw an infomercial on this at home kit that what very convincing. (I know Im gullible) It was something that would tighten skin and reduce pore size. I remember that they had a girl test it for a month or something on only one side of her face. There was a significant difference. I never really tried any product off of infomercials even though I was really wanting to try the youthful essence. Any ideas on reducing pore size in general? What at home kit works best to tighten skin and reduce pore size?
*You do not need a kit. And it is smart not being influenced by infomercials and deceptive or fake photos/shots. This safe, natural cure is a really effective way to quickly and permanently reduce large pores and rid face of pimples, black and white heads and give you a tight skin,
Quite vigorous massage using essential oils works wonders. Lavender, olive, almond and grape seed have been used by specialists to treat and cure acne and other conditions as they do not clog, cause breakouts and they actually reduce skin's oil production.
So as not to pull/stretch skin, first tighten by opening mouth 3/4'; and pull lips firrmly back against teeth. Do a forward and back massage - not circular - using tips and front of fingers and sometimes palms - depending where on face you apply. For quickest results do for 15 to 20 min daily (Doesn't have to be all in one session). Skin will tighten, clear, and pores will reduce in as little as 2 to 3 days and see better results day by day.
Apply massage to entire face to get a tight, firm, totally blemish free, healthy skin. Oils are perfect safe moisturizers - many moisturizing products harm and age skin. Simply wipe away surface excess with water and tissues. Does not leave face oily looking.

Your skin peels off dead skin during the night, so wash your face with soap and water in the morning. Also wash your face before you go to sleep. Don't put on any skin medicare before you sleep because of what I explained before about the peeling of dead skin.
Once a Week.
Break the yellow of an egg and mix with the white of the egg. Apply it on your face. Don't smile, talk, etc... it will form wrinkles. After it dries, take a towel and soak it with water. Next, wring the towel out. (Make sure it's still a bit wet. Then, put it in a microwave and heat for 30sec or more. Wipe off the egg with the warm towel.
You can Also.

Is laser treament will be a good one for pimple scars and pores? pls suggest?
Laser is used for extent skin problems, the best thing to do is see a dermatologist for a consultation, they will advise and then probably do a test patch to see which laser is more effective, the erbium laser or gemini laser may be effective for acne scars. Good luckIs laser treament will be a good one for pimple scars and pores? pls suggest?

Cover girl make up??? will cover girl ';clean makeup'; foundation clog my pores???
i was wondering if it was because after i use it sometimes my face breaks out not all the time though. and if this does clog my pores what is a good foundation that wont?Cover girl make up??? will cover girl ';clean makeup'; foundation clog my pores???
It does mine. Of all of the make up I have tried Bare Minerals is by far my favorite. It not only give you good coverage and UV protection it is actually good for your skin and helps reduce break outs. Awesome stuff.Cover girl make up??? will cover girl ';clean makeup'; foundation clog my pores???
I use it all of the time and have never had a problem with it. It product works wonders for me but it may react different to others. I have never had a problem with it clogging my pores as long as you make sure to wash your face regularly
If your face breaks out after using a product, it's not clogging your pores, it's contact dermatitis. The only cure for that is to quit using the product and maybe take a Benadryl. A good foundation has little or not isoprohyl alcohol or titanium dioxide. Read the ingredients label. The front label should read hypoallergenic and noncomediogenic. Also, look for non-fragranced. I like using Loreal products. They're more expensive, but they are better quality.

I wash my hair one day and perm it the next. My scalp was on fire because i believe my pores were still open
Now my hair is falling out, any suggestionsI wash my hair one day and perm it the next. My scalp was on fire because i believe my pores were still open
You left your scalp vulnerable and your pores open.
And if you massaged or scratched your scalp, that also burns it.
Go to a PRO stylist and ask them can they treat it for you.
You're not supposed to do that. Perm then wash.

Oh noooooooooooooo! Thats horrible i'm sooooooooooooooo sorry. This happens alot! Did you give yourself a perm? Or did you get it professionally done? If you went in and had it done go back and get a refund! This happened to my friend and she went back got a refund and they fixed her problem. :)
Just calm down it will be okay. Hair grows back by the way. But hurry and go to a salon right now! Be gentle on your scalp!
I'm sorry you have to go through this. :(
Good luck.
God bless.

If its that bad go see your hair stylist ASAP. They can give you in-store treatments to help close the pores. The treatments will restore the nutrion to your hair follicals and hel them ''work'' again... Go phone and take an appointment!
u should of not had did that..1st off when ur washing ur hair u actaully scratch ur scalp to wash %26amp; clean it %26amp; doin that causes burning when perming..I know this sounds crazy but when ur hair is dirtier the perm works much better
Ok. You Probably Shouldn't Of Did That. I Would Go To A Salon Right Away To See If They Could Help.

I was wondering, does proactive refines pores too?
Products cannot really change the size of your pores. Proactiv is still a very popular acne treatment though! It makes the TOP3 best list. See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/I was wondering, does proactive refines pores too?
it will NOT work for you if you have oily skinI was wondering, does proactive refines pores too?
I've used proactive for the past 6 years and I LOVE the results. It does work on all skin types, just remember to keep with it, and do the routine morning and night.
After using proactive for 6 years I can tell you I still have large pores, There is nothing long term you can do about enlarged pores but you can keep them under control.
If you have enlarged pores, try using Queen Helene skin-care products. (find at any drug store, or for a steal in dollar discount stores) The line is all natural and will not inflame your acne. Pick up Queen Helene's grape seed peel, and mint julip mask. After doing the peel to clean the pores out, the julip mask will shrink your pores amazingly!
Leave the masque on all night and you will be ready for a pore-free day when you wakeup. (These products work well with proactive skincare as well. )

I hated proactiv. It didn't do anything for my skin. It was just so harsh and made my skin flaky and dry. I found a line called Joesoef Skin Care and their anti-acne kit cleared my acne! It actually works!!
Nothing really refines your pores. You can try using a glycolic, which helps, but you would really need to get laser therapy.man makeup

How to get rid of pores on my face?
You cannot remove pores.
You can use an exfoliator to clean your pores and remove dead skin. This will help your skin to breathe.
Also, drink lots of water, 1-2L per day and that will make a big difference. How to get rid of pores on my face?
You can't, they are a natural part of your skin. How to get rid of pores on my face?
You cannot get rid of pores on your face (realistically) you can only hide them.
u cant really get rid of the pores on your face! : P
BELTSANDER
proactiv helps my skin a lot, including minimizing pores.
Use sandpaper.
You can't get rid of your pores, per se, but you can minimize their appearance. There are many products at Walmart, Target, etc that will do the job but if they are truly large and problematic you should make an appointment with a dermatologist.
You can reduce their visibility but you can't get rid of them - nor would you want to, because your skin wouldn't be able to breathe. Look in the cosmetic aisle for pore reducing face washes and keep your skin clean. That's your best bet.

Does Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser or Biore Perfect Deep Cleansing Pore Strips works better?
I have large visible pores, blackhead, white heads. Oily areas, but my cheeks are very sensitive. Please help, i have done some research and planning to buy one of these 2 product. I cant try both becuz im on a budget. So please help.
Thanks!Does Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser or Biore Perfect Deep Cleansing Pore Strips works better?
I'd think the strips because the cleanser you put on your cheeks- which you say are sensitive. You can use a gentle/regular cleanser and the pore strips, which are only for nose, and theres one package that has ones for face, not cheeks.

What is the desired grade on concrete when poring a driveway?

I just got sunburn on my head and now yellow puss is coming out of my pores, is that normal?
Not really - It means you have a bad sunburn. Make sure to use lots of aloe and stay out of the sun. Consider seeing a doctor too to play it safe. Next time you're outside, wear sunblock and consider wearing a hat.I just got sunburn on my head and now yellow puss is coming out of my pores, is that normal?
no that's not normal. sounds like you've got an infection. call your doctorI just got sunburn on my head and now yellow puss is coming out of my pores, is that normal?
Yep, next time wear sunblock.
no. see a doctor
Sounds like Photodermatitis ( Sun Poisoning ).
Avoid sunlight. Be sure and find out if any medication you are taking makes you more photo-sensitive. (birth control pills, antibiotics, even acne creams or pills). Try aloe (straight from the plant if possible), or cortisteriod creams for topical releif, and take Tylenol or Advil for the pain. If the condition worsens, or doesn't seem to be getting better in 1-2 days, see a doctor or go to the emergency room. Good luck, I feel for you, I had it myself when I was 12.
you mean you have pustules on your head? That is not normal. Check if you have fever and keep your head clean to avoid further infection. Hair carries a lot of dirt.
No, you should definately see a dr ASAP!
um yeah i would definitely go see a dermatologist- that sounds like a pretty severe burn
no, please go to the emergency room
Ok, I think I can anwser this because it happend to my boyfriend. He got sunburn on his head an he did some of theses.
1. But sun tan location on head

3. Went to see a doctor
4. Told his parents/ friends
5. Take a bath and fill the tub with ice and put your head under
6. Washed if 5 times and then put sun tan location in it
ARGHH! Yellow Puss? that means infection, baby. GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW, IF NOT THE EMERGENCY ROOM!! you must have gotten a serious sunburn!

Buy Proactive. Your face may break out at first but then it will clear right up but you need to use it on a regular basis.
use proactive!!!
Everybody here is going to disagree with me but use clearasil ultra maximum strength face cream. It works miracles for me!!! It is so so so drying but it makes your face clear in 3 days or less and it really works. alot of people have allergic reactions to this cream and irratation might occur because it is so drying but it works wonders my skin is getting really clear and ive only used it for one day!!! i have tried everything PROATCTIVE, CLEAN %26amp; CLEAR, STRIDEX, AVEENO, BIORE, NUETRAGENA, CLINQUE, TAZORAC, BENZOCLIN. nothing worked for me but this really did but do not forget to mositurize!!! and do not use the face wash because that will burn our skin like heck. just use a gentle face wash and than clearasil and results will happend!
proactive
Watch your Diet. Diet plays an important part in the upkeep and maintenance of our bodies. Any food -- in excess can cause outbreaks and systemic malfunction.
Increase your intake of water. Water is very necessary to cleansing and flushing of our systems.
Wash you face before going to bed - to remove the day's accumulation of dirt and oil and plooution, and again in the morning - to begin the day fresh and remove the exfoliated skin of the evening past.
Remember to treat your specific skin type (oily - dry, etc.) with proper moisturizing and sunblock.
Get good sleep. The body replenishes itself while we sleep.
[Although brief, I hope these steps help you attain that clear complexion you seek].
Use a good face wah meant for oily skin and then dab on some astringent. Go for a 'clean up' once a month and apply a fuller's earth face pack thrice a week.
A green 3M pad works best!
1) Drink lots of water and eat healthy. Your skin is an organ that gets overworked with too many unhealthy things to work out, and it needs the water to do its thing.
2) Wash your face twice a day with a mild, non-irritating soap. Sometimes the acne cleansers cause your face to produce even more oil in response to the way they burn and dry everything up!
3) Keep your hands off your face. Bacteria from the hands getting caught in the pores around your mouth, nose and hairline can be a factor.
4) See a dermatologist if it not manageable with the above. They have creams with anti-hormone properties that actually prevent acne rather than just get rid of it.
use sandblasting procedures
Proactiv worked for my cousin, brother and sister. Give it a try. God bless you.
use apricots on regular basis
use neutrogena products, they are fast and effective. Use a scrub before bed, and a gentler cleanser during the daytime. If your willing to splurge a little bit, then I suggest proactiv, it works really well. But either solution will get you results. Hope it works for you!!
Use products specifically for oily skin. Biore do a range of one-minute facials that are really good. You can use nose strips to clean your nose, Biore do those too. Blotting paper is good for touch-ups. If nothing seems to be making any improvement you might need to see a dermatologist.
Proactiv
Prescription from a dermatologist for RetinA
The best way to take care of SENSITIVE Skin is to not over clean it. Breakouts are usually caused by a over production of oil to conpensate the imbalance in the skin. My younger brothers face in Freshman year in highschool looked like a pizza. I AM NOT KIDDING. I told him to go out and buy and ALOE plant. Not from a jar or bottle. The real thing. You can pick one up at Walmart. They like warm dry places to sit. (Like on top of your refrigerator). Do not water often. clay pots work best.
Never use soap on you face. Get a gentle facial cleanser. Astringent to wipe your face each morning and night.
Cleanse face at night, tear off a spike of Aloe, squeeze out the liquid and put it on your face before retiring at night then after gentle cleansing in the morning re-apply.
Watch your caffeine and sugar drinks. Drink plenty of water and you will see a difference in less than a week.
Find some deep cleanser and use it once a week. Just don't overuse it or your face will feel like it's on fire.
Get gylcolic peels... I have cyctic acne and that works... like one every 6 weeks! Go to the dermatoligst office, same price as the spa, no smelly candle or soft music, but they are twice as strong and higher quality.
I wish I knew...it would help.
Wash your face every morning and evening before bed. Be sure to always use a clean wash rag and towel. Try to find a mild soap instead of a strong medicated soap, you'll only irritate your face. Also be sure to use a moisturizer both in the morning and before bed. Drink lots of water and your face should clear up.
Good luck!
Go to a dermatologist. The copay is pretty cheap.
Usually acne is a result of hormone fluctuations. Thus, topically there is little you can do. But there are things that will dry out your skin which sometimes work.

I have really big pores on my legs that make it look like chicken legs what can i use to make my skin smoother
Are they really that big? Sometimes a mix of dark hair and thin, fair skin may make the pores appear larger than they really are.
If that is the case, waxing or electolysis make help, exfoliation would be another option. Conair had a a product they marketed as a hair remover - it was sort of like sand papering your legs, but I it was discontinued. or if it's just hair left from shaving, try a hair removing cream or waxing.

I have got small pores in my skin(legs)where small uphills come out and when i pinch it it hurts a lot.?
the same thing happened to me about a few weeks ago.......it probably means that you have dry skin or that the lotion you are wearing probably doesn't work on you anymore...
Is having visible open pores on face a turn off for guys?
if yes why
if no whyIs having visible open pores on face a turn off for guys?
Not necessarily. I look at the face as a whole. What does it say about your personality. I would like to meet someone who doesn't have some blemish on thier face. I don't think such a person exists. I have a mole over my right eye. A dermatoligist offered to remove it, though he said it didn't look like anything to be concerned with. If a woman is so shallow to reject me for it, then she is too shallow for me.Is having visible open pores on face a turn off for guys?
I doubt that guys even notice that kind of stuff, so no I don't think so.

How to minimize facial pores?
im 18 years old and im very much affected for what is going on in my face. i have a lot of facial pores. how can i be able to minimize it? thanksHow to minimize facial pores?
I have been problems, decided to buy a ';Skin Exfoliator'; after months of use not found nothing. And decided to leave product. But then became to notice improvement. I purchased the drug here - http://www.revitol.com/skin-exfoliator/?aid=398604How to minimize facial pores?
you can't shrink pores, but they will not seem as large if you can get control of blackheads. i've struggled with this but seem to have worked it out with the following three things:
1 - a good facewash that gets rid of oil but doesn't strip your skin (if it's too harsh, your skin will compensate by oiling itself up!). i've found that Oil of Olay Clarifying Cleanser works really well. see http://www.olay.co.uk/m/oil_of_olay.htm
2 - a moisturiser that includes 1-2% salycilic acid or beta hydroxy will help control blackheads. weirdly, oil of olay worked again. i use total effects anti-aging and blemish care: http://www.olay.co.uk/m/oil_of_olay.htm. avene and dermalogica do something similar which lots of people like, and there's a company called paula's choice (online only) too. use it in the morning after cleansing.
3 - once every 4-6 weeks, get a facial that includes extractions (you'll need to specify that the facial includes this). a beautician basically squeezes all the gunk out of your pores for 40-60$. it can hurt a bit, but your skin will look like a baby's for a good while afterwards. totally worth it if you can afford it.
edited to add: i've seen lots of guys do this at my salon. don't recall now if you're male or not, or why i'm writing this...
if you also have acne, use a very small amount of benzoyl peroxide 2.5% at night. bp does not work on blackheads though, and won't reduce appearance of pores.

Does honey in pores work?
like, after you open your pores you rub honey on your face and leave it for like 30 minuets? Its supposed to unclog pores but im not sure. If you've tried it... does it work? :) thanks.Does honey in pores work?
I haven't tried it, but it makes sense.
Honey is a natural antibacterial, so it might be worth a shot. Be prepaired to get sticky though... :/Does honey in pores work?
ive tryed it :) i love it. and to make your face smooth. that whole egg thing works too.
where you seperate the egg white from the yoke?
and put them on seperately for 30 minutes as a face mask.
BOY oh boy it made my face soft.

Open and blocked pores?
I have open and blocked pores on my nose and cheecks, pore strips kinda work but do not get rid of some bits. Any tips?
THNAKSOpen and blocked pores?
Start by taking a oil free acne cleanser (try Neutrogenas Oil Free Acne Wash, its orange). Wash your face to get rid of all dirt on top of the skin. If you have a lot of black heads then you can take a pimple extractor ( they sell them at places like Sephora and a good one is the Sephora brand Complexion Extractor with Lance). Before using that press a hot water soaked wash cloth on the clogged areas. That will help you get rid of a lot of the dirt and oil deep in the pores. I recommend avoiding washing with any strong acne washes and anything with oil or fragrance. Your makeup could be contributing as well. Try a foundation that doesn't clog pores and steer clear of liquids if you can.Open and blocked pores?
to open pores i highly recommend the wave by neutrogena (im not sure if i spelled that right or not)
i payed around $13 for it, but i'm sure that you can get it for a lower amount than that!
it works on pores, it makes them very open and clears them, plus it gives you a very nice natural shine!

My face has bad acne & my nose has HUGE pores. What do i do?
It's HORRIBLE!!! I use a 10% benzoyl peroxide 1-2 times a day, a blackhead cleanser, and I use nose strips (which don't work!). Plus of course I wash my face 2 times a day, sometimes even 3 times. Occassionally I'll use a moisturizer, but very rarely. Should I use the moisturizer more? Should I put the nose strips on for longer? My acne isn't really THAT bad, it's on my forehead and it's not like my hugest problem, but I really want a better face; not too many kids in my school have acne, and i'm in 7th grade. Help!!!My face has bad acne %26amp; my nose has HUGE pores. What do i do?
go to a dermatologistMy face has bad acne %26amp; my nose has HUGE pores. What do i do?
Use exposed its WAY better than proactive it has WAY more natural stuff(which is good for your face) and it was rated higher than proactiv and murad it is worth the money and if it doesnt work you can always send it back and get your money back.
if you have a sensitive skin use a treatment like clearpores which is really good. if not than you could give proactive a try.
Ok let me start off.. You're over cleansing your skin. Your body is naturally making oils to hydrate your skin. With you continingly washing your skin like that will make your body work in overdrive and create MORE oil which in turn makes you break out more. Slow down when you wash. Try it only once a day and leave moisturizer for the night time. BUT if you can I'm a true Believer in Pro-Active Pro-V. It's $29.95 and the face cleaning set is good for about a month and works REALLY well. Check it out!
http://www.proactive.com/
DONT TRY PROACTIVE! you are wasting your money! Go see a dermatologist! They can give you the right creams for your face. I have tried everything including Proactive (twice!), Murad, Clearasil, you name it! I tried laser treatments- the only thing i found to work is Acutane. You might not need it- so try topical creams first ( I reccommend Retin A Micro- its better than the original!) but your dermatologist will know! Also- youre in the 7th grade! youre supposed to be going through an awkward phase! relax! it may just pass...

I have big pores on my face can anyone tell me the cure.?
though i have an oily face have tried many product pls can i get the best buyI have big pores on my face can anyone tell me the cure.?
Rub ice cubes on the face for 10-15 minutes. It will tighten the pores.
Apply cucumber juice on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes. It will tighten the pores.
Cut the tomato in half and rub on the skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes. Wash it off with water. This will reduce open pores and blackheads. This treatment is good particularly for oily skin.I have big pores on my face can anyone tell me the cure.?
Unfortunately, you can't change the shape or size of your pores. But keeping them clear and less oily will help them *appear* smaller.
But here are 3 things to help:
1) I would recommend using a toner.
Toners deep cleans pores to reduce the appearance of their size and often has alpha-hydroxys and other ingrediants to reduce appearance.
I recommend anything by Olay: Daily Facials Clarity Toner, Refreshing Toner, Dual Action Cleanser + Toner -true they are a little more expensive, but they Work. The Olay Daily Facials Lathering Cleansing Cloths are all in one cleanser/toner/exfoliator.
Also, Neutrogena has a toner, Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner that I use now-and it also cleans and helps reduce the appearance pore size (And it smells nice..not chemical-like).
2) I also recommend exfoilating weekly. Exfoliating removes surface dirt and deep cleans-getting rid of dead skin, and dead skin cells can enlarge the appearance pores. (Olay or Neutrogena) The new Olay thermal skin polisher-love it!
3) Lastly, I would recommend using a mask at least once a week. Again, either Olay or Neutrogena.
Masks go a long way in terms of shrinking the appearance pore size-it helps remove dirt and oil.
try neutrogena they have tons of pore refining masks and face washes
Try neutrogena pore refining products. Wash your face in hot then cold water, the cold water closes your pores.
i have the same problem! i've tried LOTS of products and what works for me is Clearasil Pore Cleansing Pads. Then after washing your face with that believe it or not but sunblock lotion is AWESOME for your skin. So apply some spf sunblock lotion. this helps me so i hope it works for u!

I love the purifying mask from o c bigelow, then I use the o c bigelow cucumber skin tonic, I spray it on instead of wiping it on, o c bigelow also has a great honey almond face scrub. Steaming is good too use a mini crock pot to get the water hot enough, and Swiss Kriss herbs from the health food store, put the swiss kriss herbs in the pot with water in the sink with a towel over your head and blow on the hot water to make the steam come up.

you can try Biore... I had pretty bad skin when I was a teenager and I used that and it worked really good. I also would suggest rubbing alcohol on your face once or twice a day. It cools you off and tightens your pores as well. Just make sure not to get it in your eyes and dont inhale when you do it. Fan yourself and you will feel refreshed and it will tighten your face and pores right up. It really works! I promise.

I was reading an answer on how to make pores smaller...?
';First of all, steam open your pores. Then wash your face with a good cleanser (neutrogena, clean %26amp; clear, etc.) Then dunk your face in ice water. This will snap your pores shut.';
how long will they ';shut'; for??I was reading an answer on how to make pores smaller...?
you don't need to dunk your face in ice water, cold tap water will work, they won't shrink they will revert to their normal size, you need to keep hydrated to keep the elasticity in your skin which will help you pore to get smaller.I was reading an answer on how to make pores smaller...?

until any disrubtion or the next time you wash your fash. a good natural way to close the pores and make them smaller and smoother is just to shred some cucumber up and apply the flesh and juice on the face. leave as desired, or until not fresh. best to do this when you are having a bath, so nothing falls off. This will cool the skin, and clean acne, the natural way. Pores can never snap shut forever, so when they are open, in a hot day, keep your face clean and wipe oil off, as oil will seep into the open pores.
well, this varies from person to person depending on your skin type, but should stay until you steam open your pores again, therefore making them open and bigger. pretty much anyway, because the 'size' of your pores changes when you steam open (hotter temperature) , making them open or bigger, and when you immerse your face in colder water (colder temperature) , making them closed or 'smaller'
though really, they dont really get smaller or bigger, they just open and close aking them appear to

Murad t-zone. It's a bit pricy... 40 bucks, but it definitely works. Also microdermabrasion definitley decreases poors, but you have to do a series of three to notice a difference.

Use biore Pore unclogging facial scrub with the Pore minimizing clarifying facial astringent along with a good moisturizer like Loreal future E face lotion or Loreal skin Genesis oil free face lotion. What pore minimizing producs work the best in your experience?
There is this product by Estee Lauder called Idealist. It is a pore minimizer but it also help your foundation go on smoother. It is important that you keep your face clean. Go to the Lauder counter and get a free facial. They may even have a sample of Idealist for you to take home and try.
mark. has a new skincare line and one of the good products is NEED A SHRINK? Pore minimizer lotion. It comes in one of their convenient hookups that allows you to connect 2 products together. It costs $8 and the reviews so far have been great!
Check it out at: www.mymarkstore.com/dpupo
Murad t-zone. It's a bit pricy... 40 bucks, but it definitely works. Also microdermabrasion definitley decreases poors, but you have to do a series of three to notice a difference.

I've many pores and bumps on my nose!?
What medication can help eradicate these pores and bumps? Surgery? Comments please!I've many pores and bumps on my nose!?
Try exfoliating the area, then getting some of those ';nose strips';. You damped them, put them on your nose, leave them for 10 mins or so, then peel them off - getting rid of the gross bumps and noticeable pores. Regular cleansing will keep your nose blocked pore and bump free!
If its more serious than that, go and see a good dermotologist.I've many pores and bumps on my nose!?
First try using those peel-off cleaning strips. I found that they even help with the bumps because they deep clean, which seems to smooth the skin. Also try using a toner to cleanse in between (with cotton balls). The non-alcohol kind will be gentler so the skin won't turn red.
try betadine

Blackheads and large pores?
I am plagued with blackheads on my nose, and enlarged pores around my nose and cheek area. I've tried multiple cleansers, toners, and masks and nothing seems to work, and my T-zone gets super oily again a few hours later. Any suggestions? I've tried Biore, Proactiv, Bye-Bye Blemish, among other things. They help a tiny bit, but nowhere near enough.Blackheads and large pores?
Ok this sounds weird but it really helped me. On your nose pick a black head and pinch it, dig kinda under (don't worry about your nose getting red, it will go away i promise) and watch the stuff ozz out! I know gross right. :D Then when you have done the bigger more noticeable black heads, get a wash cloth and put hot water on it. Then, (i use neutrigena black head scrub) put your normal face wash lotion on the hot cloth, massage it into your face and on your nose, THEN go get an ice cube and put it on your nose where you dug out your black heads. Its going to be extremely cold but once you take it off, they will have closed up!Blackheads and large pores?
Microderm abrasion is a simple, straight forward, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, reduces mild pigment irregularities hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots. It is equally effective to other skin treatments and, most importantly, it allows you to get back to your daily routine immediately after treatment.
By removing a very fine skin layer, micro derm abrasion stimulates collagen production, thus encouraging cellular renewal. Old skin is replaced by new healthy skin cells - this is known to help acne, enlarged pores and blackheads, age spots and sun-damaged skin and uneven skin tone (hyperpigmentation).
Microdermabration removes excess oil, debris and dead cells - This also helps minimize large pores and get rid of pimples and age spots.

I have quite red flushed skin, and my pores are huge. I blush easily and I hate it, what can I do?
help :(I have quite red flushed skin, and my pores are huge. I blush easily and I hate it, what can I do?
I agree with Paula R, I use the green foundation stuff as a base coat under my normal foundation. It certainly helps to minimise the redness of my cheeks.I have quite red flushed skin, and my pores are huge. I blush easily and I hate it, what can I do?
You might have Roasca....go see your doctor...he can give you something to help keep the red down and help shirk those pores..
You may have a condition called Acne Rosacea, see your Doctor to confirm this and if it is, they can prescribe medication. Medical opinion would also advise you to steer clear of spicy food and alcohol, also not too much sun exposure. Depends on how fond you are of spicy food, alcohol and sun lol.
I've given this advice before but always get thumbs down for some reason, but here goes.
If you know it isn't a medical condition then you can get green foundation which counteracts the redness in skintone. I used to be red all the time and my sister told me about it and it was great.

Two Huge pores came out and now?
I have these two little holes on my nose. How can I close them and how do you make pores smaller?
Lately I've been having trouble with acne. I've gotten off proactive because it worsend my skin, I'm trying Aveno and I still break out. I've tried Clean %26amp; Clear it irritates my skin, I've tried neutrogena and nothing changes....I've done the pills, the medications and I'm running out of things to do. I drink lots of water and stay away from bad food. My skin is scarred and I don't know if I'll ever be comfortable in my natural face w/out make up again....Two Huge pores came out and now?
try noxema, it really helps. if u have really bad scarring, search acne scarring treatment. Two Huge pores came out and now?
There are a lot of acne care kits out there. Are you allergic to benzoil peroxide? Try using an acne treatment kit with salicylic acid. Philosophy has an excellent anti-acne line. Look into it. A good basic routine is to wash with original Cuticura soap and use Witch Hazel as an astringent. Once pores are enlarged there's no way to make them smaller, but you can make them appear smaller by using products specifically for enlarged pores. Drinking water has no effect on your acne. Use a water-based, non-comedogenic liquid foundation make-up.
I went through the same thing after I had my third child. I had never had acne, then I began having horrible pimples and zits. Naturally, i picked at them, which only made it worse. The only thing that has seemed to work is Avon products. Give them a try, I've tried everything you listed too and pretty much had the same effects. :) Hope this helps!
The ones I use are Avon Correcting Fade %26amp; Peel Wipes, Avon Balance Cleanser/Mask and Avon Anti-microbial Exfoliating Scrub
Jessica B gave you an answer I can testify to.I tried tons of products to get a pimple free face and the occasional acne.I started using Avon products 2 months ago and I havent had a pimple since then.
I use the products that Jessica mentioned minus the fade and peel.I also use thier Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. This works really good for blackheads. What I do is if I feel a pimple coming up [which is rare since I began using Avon] I apply benzoyl peroxide and this works to dry it up.
Now to answer your question. You can use those per minimizers but I really recommend natural remedies cause you dont want to be putting to much chemicals on your face.
Try using baking soda and a lil water to make a paste.Apply to face and let dry then wash of.I have been doing this for the past week.
You can also try face masks that has natural products.Like Aveeno. It's gentle on sensitive skin.
I hope you get something that works and dont wear so much makeup. You will only make your skin worse.man makeup

Good liquid foundation that won't clog my pores?
i'm looking for a good drugstore brand liquid foundation such as covergirl or nuetrogena. i need one that looks natural and smooth and won't make my face oily or make blackheads worse. thanks :)Good liquid foundation that won't clog my pores?
Most foundations are non-comedegenic. Meaning they wont clog your pores. I would go with Neutrogena because I have used many of there products for many years and have rarely been let down. Give the new Mineral Sheers a try.Good liquid foundation that won't clog my pores?

drugstore products usually mean low quality. although proctor and gamble is a respectable company with hundreds of products including cover girl, tide, febreeze, crest, etc., the company doesn't utilized optimal quality, only quality that matches value and they usually keep their products in a price range that middle america can afford.
although not a drugstore product, many of the girls i know talk about how not only does MAC cover up blemishes, but the makeup also has rejuvinating minerals in it that keep your face healthy. look into it. i know it's expensive, but quality doesn't come cheap.
hope this helps!
well i dont know about drug store brand but i have lorel paris and it works good
True Match, by Loreal, works great and its very light but cover perfect, try it you will like it.
ok drug store brands are the best
1 u can ask the lady at the counter they will help you
2 buy either almay of covergirl as for neutrogena ther better for face cleansing which u should buy for once u take the make up off
well I would say cover girl, but i am not tooo sure w/ the drug store product, I use MAC you should try that.... in studio fix....
loreal perfect match.
it works wonders. :]
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and won't irritate your skin. It makes your skin look really good!
This isn't a drugstore brand, but Lorac has great liquid, powder to liquid, and powder foundations that are great for sensitive skin or oily skin.
I used to break out because the foundations I used were to heavy and I have naturaly oily skin. Their prices are moderate and the product lasts for a very long time.
Drug store brands are great but take a few extra bucks and spend it on Clinique...they're very natural, no cakey look and it doesn't clog pores. Also it doesn't feel heavy at all, it actually feels like you're not wearing anything; except that you are.
I have tried everything but I will be honest you get what you pay for with the cheaper brands, the quality of raw materials is not the same, I have a great foundation to recommend its 30.00 but it does last a very LONG time I have had one tube over 6 months, its the Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation and it works full coverage and yet very light on your face its on beeroyalproducts.com

cetaphil it works good!! get the cleanser! it works really good!! just put on before u go to sleep and take off in morning! it looks like water and drys up in a couple of minutes!! u can buy it in costco or walmart or dany other store!! well good luck
GENTLE cleansers and moisturizers with SPF protection.
Don't use harsh products, they only aggravate your skin.
You could try Arbonne Intelligence Not-So-Basic cleansers and moisturizers...
well i would prefer proactive-but if you wanna go old school first rinse your face with warm water and dove soap, then apply cocoa butter cream all over your face then let stand for 1 hr.
in 1 week you should notice major results.
Good Luck- and if you have any other questions feel free to e-mail me at idashiakemp@yahoo.com
If you do not drink enough water, it can cause dehydration of the skin, causing loss of elasticity and wrinkle formation. Drink at least 8 glasses of water, more if you exercise a lot or the weather is hot. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetable will provide nutrients to the skin and prevent wrinkles.More cheap and natural remedies for wrinkles at the link below.

I have to tell you, my favorite line of all time is Clinique. They have the best system, bar none, for cleansing the face, whether you're really oily or really dry. Their 3 step is phenomenal, and I've used it for over 20 years (my mom started me on it as a teen). Go to the nearest counter and tell them to skin-type you. They've always been a huge help to me on skincare issues.
I've used other products over the years, but drugstore brands sometimes are just a gamble...you never know what you're going to get, plus it's just about as expensive (sometimes more) than Clinique. They're just the best. I'm going to be 37 this year, and no one guesses me for over 26-28 years old, and I owe that to my mom for teaching me good skincare routines.
Good luck!

Are there pores in your palms and bottem of your feet?
just curiousAre there pores in your palms and bottem of your feet?
Yes, of course there are. That's why folks get sweaty palms and feet and stinky sneakers. Every spot on your body contains sweat glands and associated pores to release it from. You just have more in some spots than others. Are there pores in your palms and bottem of your feet?
I don't think so because these are the only areas of the body that doesn't have hair. That is also the reason why you don't get pimple in here.
I'd say so because we have sweat glands there.
ewww idk!!!!!! geezzzz
Yes the entire body is covered in pores. That sounds weird haha.
Of course there are. That's the reason why people get sweaty hand and stinky feet. xD;;;
Of course.. Sweaty hands / feet. Thank god! Dut some are hyperactive. Then treatment is called for. Good luck

Hi! Want to close those pores? All you have to do is the following:

2) Message onto the bump.
3) Wait 15 min.
4) Rinse off with cool water.

THANKS :)Clogged pores and mild acne?
no cocoa butter! no mineral oil or any thick creams! use alittle Neutrogena soap, they also have an acne medicine in a small tube that works, just use alittle at night. rinse with cold water to help close pores.Clogged pores and mild acne?
Cleanse,Tone and Moisturize.
Cleanser. This gets the crap out of your skin.Just massage it all over your face for about 1 min then rinse.
Toner.Make sure its alcohol free or else it dries out your skin. This wipes away the crap and shrinks the pores.Put this on to a cotton ball and wipe all over face.
Moisturizer. This keeps the skin from being dry.Just apply this all over the face.
I would recommend using something like Clinque,Aveeno or Nivea.
Also get a spot treatment or acne cream and apply this to the zits.
Steaming the face is also a good way to cleanse.
I would say Coco butter does clog the pores as it is thick, ive tried it and its a bit oily aswell.
And exfoliate
Good Luck
Buy pure tea tree oil from a health and nutrition store. Buy an organic tea tree oil based face wash. Mix 1/8 cup of baking soda and 1/2 tsp. of salt into a small cup or container.
Put two or three drops of tea tree oil into a bowl of hot steaming water. Put face over bowl and cover with towel for five minutes, or until you break out in a sweat. As long as you can stand it.
Immediately wash face with tea tree face wash and warm water.
Next scrub face with baking soda exfoliant and rinse with cool water.
Repeat daily to clear up acne and pores. Repeat weekly to maintain clear skin.
This routine has helped me immensely. Tea tree oil naturally kills the bacteria that is in most acne. It use it as a body was too. It really has kept my skin pretty clear and has reduced to cystic acne I get on my neck and shoulders.

Open pores and blackheads?
I had a big black head right in the middle of my nose. I've just got it out really easily, but now i have an big open pore. What should i do to prevent dirt from getting in there and clogged again (so it doesn't get bigger). Should i avoid moisturizing, and products there general? Anything i can do to shrink pores?Open pores and blackheads?
its good to exfoliate once in a while so i suggest you take 2 advril pills (generic, uncoated). Dont eat them! take them and dissolve in a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. then rub them gently over your entire face for a few minutes. The active ingredients open up the pores and gets rid of dead skin cells--leaving you with smooth skin. try it out and comment. hope that helpsOpen pores and blackheads?
I heard you fill a bowl up with cool water and put your face in to close your pores. Also if you want to open them you put a wet hot washcloth over your face for a couple minutes. Then wait a couple minutes to put you face in the cool water. This process opens pores to clean them and then closes them.
Wash your face with whatever you use to wash your face daily. If you have anything to put on it that prevents acne, put that on it. I've heard that toothpaste works well, and it actually works on me. Just plain white toothpaste. Just put a little on.
I would avoid putting any cosmetics on it, yes. That includes lotions, makeup, and all the works. There's really nothing you can do to get rid of it faster. It will have to go away on its own. Just don't irritate it.

How do we get rid of our pores?
i have black head all over my nose.. i would really want 2 get the off.. tried almost anything (btw, those strips dosen't work)
How do we get rid of our pores?
It really would be best to go see your doctor - don't waste your time with over the counter stuff as getting something on prescription will be much more effective.
Your doctor can offer a number of treatments. Antibiotics or topical treatments like benzyl peroxide will kill the P.acnes bacteria on your skin (but if you only have blackheads and not red spots then P.acnes is probably not the problem for you). Retinoids are available which affect cell turnover and will therefore help to stop your pores getting blocked. I use a topical Retin A gel (also called tretinoin) which I'd definitely recommend - this is the only treatment I have tried that actually got rid of my blackheads. It is possible to use more than one treatment which may help you to get a better result. Just remember that with anything you try you need to allow at least a month to see significant results - if what you've tried hasn't worked then go back to your doctor and ask for something else - everyone is different but there will be a treatment that works for you.
I've also heard of people using mandelic acid as a blackhead treatment - I know very little about it but it may be worth looking into.
Don't overdo cleaning your face - use something that is mild and for sensitive skin - as drying out your skin by using harsh cleansers (or even by using very hot then very cold water) will only stimulate the glands in your skin to produce more oil - and its oil and dead skin cells that block the pores and form a blackhead.
Also, try to resist touching your skin.
Best of luck :)How do we get rid of our pores?
Fill your bathroom with steam, running hot water. Then exfoliate your face with warm water. The heat opens your pores so the bacteria inside can be cleaned away. Then wash your face in cold water. This shrinks your pores.
Then, tone with whichever toner you use. If you don't use one, start. Just ask the people at the drugstore.
Only exfoliate once a week, but tone after every time you wash.
I would try any over the counter cream or face wash with salicylic acid in it. The medicine exfoliates your skin and helps take off dead skin cells to open your pores so the junk that makes up blackheads will come out.
Wash your face using hot water and add some tea tree around your nose. I dont think they will 100% go, but it will look much clearer!

wash your face! lol!
nah try toothpaste it works for spots - might work for pores?

Wouldn't that be bad for your pores?
Applying ice to your face, wouldn't that be murder for your pores? I mean they say hot water is good for your pores so wouldn't freezing ice be bad for your pores? If you don't know, briefly tell me what you think and get yourself 2 points.Wouldn't that be bad for your pores?
Cold water is bad for your skin because it irratates the pores and adds to the build up of oil, whitch is what causes acne and such! Hot water opens the pores and washs away oil.
Hope I Helped(:Wouldn't that be bad for your pores?
well this is what i do
(since hot water opens your pores)
1. i turn the water temp. as hot as i can stand it and i than clean my face.
2. i rinse.
(cold water closes your pores)
3. i turn the water as cold as it can go than rinse.
(also, cold water is good for your hair , when your done conditioning , rinse with cold water , it makes it more shiny. )
As an aesthetic student, I know all about pores.
The only thing it may do is trap unwanted oil or debris within your pores. This may cause you to get blemishes or whatnot. If your face is clean and well cleansed (and you are not wearing make up) it would not do anything to your pores except close them. However your face may get chilly!
i believe hot water opens your pores and cold shuts them
could be the other way around lol but its something like that

Clogged pores and blackheads?
what will clear it...does the neutrogena wave work?Clogged pores and blackheads?
neutrogena wave does clear blackheads, but it can also make your skin super dry! i tried it 2 weeks ago, and i havent touched it since. I'd suggest using St. Ives apricot scrub %26amp; warm water!!Clogged pores and blackheads?
First of all buy Tone soap. The other brands dry out your skin which causes it to produce more oil which in turn causes acne.
When you get into the show wash yourself from the head down. Always start face first, if you wash your arms and then your face your putting all the dirt and oil from your arms onto your face.
At night apply Sea Breeze to your face using a cotton ball to remove all excess oil from your face. Don't over wash or you will dry out your skin. So clean it once in the morning and once before bed.
Your complexion should clear up in about a week or so.
Depending on where they are on your face, Biore pore strips work really well. Neutrogena is also good to use.
Your best bet is to try and develop a good personality. ;)
Have you tried Proactive? Clean and Clear seems to have some good products as well.
no the wave suckksss! it doesnt even foam up.
just dont touch it
wash it with warm soap water

Will using powder before shaving clog my pores (or my shaver)?
If I want to use baby or talcum powder to make electric shaving easier and to get a closer shave, will either of these clog my pores and cause breakouts?
Also, how do I know that powders will work with my shaver without destroying it? I use a Braun Contour 5790.Will using powder before shaving clog my pores (or my shaver)?
Powder is never to be used with electric shavers because it will lump in the blades and moving parts. It's best to wash your face with soap and warm water to remove all oil from your skin, dry it, and then shave. You will get a close shave that way.

Any suggestions on how to clean pores?
my face is getting gross from the makeupAny suggestions on how to clean pores?
Steam your face. Pour a bowl of hot water put your head over it and cover with a towel. Stay there for as long as is comfortable unless you have sensitive skin in which case don't do it for longer than 3-5mins. This will open your pores. Do a mask or clean your face then rinse with cold water to close your pores. Make sure you remove your makeup every night. One way of doing that is to use a cleanser the hold a flannel which has been soaked in comfortabley hot water over your face for a few minutes. Wash with a face wash and rinse in cold water.Any suggestions on how to clean pores?

My age is 22 , i have a problem of pimples and open pores, please tell me some home remedy?
Consider purchasing a rather inexpensive soap/body wash with at least 2% salicyltic acid. If you have real oily skin find a way to take it with you during the day to wash your face.
How to get rid of pores?
i got rid of them using the clean and clear acne wash, believe it or not but now they're re-appearing again and its really noticeable. whatever i do, they won't go away ! What's the cause of pores and how do you get rid of the without using special cream or cleansers ?How to get rid of pores?
sometimes if you use the facial washes tooo much it makes it worse b/c you're drying up your skin
try maybe using less of it/less times a day =)
%26amp; for moisturizers, it's best that they're non-comedogenic (won't cause pimples etc)How to get rid of pores?
umm
pores are part of your skin....
confused
you can minimize the appearance of pores by moisturizing and using a good face mask.
Pores are part of your skin, you can't get rid of them...Besides, if you didn't have pores you would die of overheating because your body would not be able to cool itself with sweat.
If you want to minimize the appearance of pores...Just start using clean and clear again, once a week. Follow up with the Nuetrogena Alcohol-Free toner, and then a moisturizer of your choice. This will also prevent breakouts.
Cold water can make pores smaller, warm water can make them larger, but you cannot get rid of them as they are breathing holes for your skin.
Rip your flesh off is the only way. All flesh always has pores.
you can not get rid of your pores. they don't go away or magically dissappear. they're there for your skin to breathe.

pores are part of your skin. your skin is a bit like mountains really. whenthe valley bit(pores) get blocked that how spots are formed just keep using a good cleanser every day and keep them clean and you will forget all about them.
You can not it's part of ure skin without pores ure skin can;t breath everyone has them. You can make them not seable but u can't get rid of them.
i have enlarged pores so i started using pore minimizing face wash by Biore. this made my face a lot clearer and smoother.
Clinique Pore Minimizer T-Zone Shine Control should do the trick or some kind of other pore minimizer
site: http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>
Well you NEED pores, do you mean black/white heads? It's all about keeping them clean. Try a google search.
you cant get rid of pores, you need them to release toxins and sweat from your body. You can make pores smaller and less noticeable by cleansing your face and using pore minimizer.

You can't get rid of pores, they are part of your skin.
If you mean that your pores are open, you could try using a toner, that would help to tighten your pores up just use it after you have cleansed and before you moisturise or apply any make-up
What causes large pores? With age and frequent stretching from being clogged with dead skin cells and oil, the pores start to sag. When they fill up with sebum (oil), the sebum oxidizes and turns dark which makes the pores more obvious.
I'll be honest with you, there are actually no ways to permanently shrink pores once they have stretched. There are, however, lots of things that you can do to minimize the appearance of your pores and to prevent them from getting large:
1. The first step is to use skin care products that increase levels of collagen and elastin which will prevent the pores from stretching. Look for ingredients such as Vitamin C, retinol that increase collagen production and products that increase elastin levels.
2. It is also important to keep skin clear of oil and dead skin cells, which will only stretch your pores and make them appear larger. Use products with alpha hydroxy acids (like glycolic acid and phytic acid) and chestnut extract which will exfoliate your skin, thus improving its texture.
3. Salicylic acid is another good bet, particularly for oily or acne-prone types, as it's the best ingredient out there for targeting and clearing out oil in the pores. (When oil, or sebum, clogs pores, blackheads appear - making pores that much more prominent.) Salicylic acid can penetrate the fats in sebum much better than glycolic acid, which makes it an ideal treatment to improve the appearance of pores.
4. Decreasing sebum production is also a way to prevent clogged and stretched pores. One ingredient that is said to have the to ability to reduce sebum production is NDGA (Nordihydraguaiaretic Acid).
5. Prescription-strength retinoids and over-the-counter products with retinol will decrease oil production, increase collagen and elastin production, and hasten your skin's cell-turnover - giving dead skin cells even fewer opportunities to clog and stretch your pores, while strengthening pore walls.
6. Another trick to minimizing the appearance of your pores is to cause the skin around them to swell slightly; as it does, the pores will appear to contract. Apply topical vitamin C to your skin (you can find it in a variety of facial serums) or try a professional light procedure like IPL (Intense pulsed Light). IPL provides an immediate benefit and is worth every penny!
7. The final steps to smaller pores simply require good skin care habits. First and foremost: Wash makeup and sunscreen off every night.
8. And if you do develop pimples, avoid popping or picking at them. That will only stretch your pores further and can lead to scarring.
Wishing you great skin!
steam your face...
i dunno..
use 3 in 1 garnier wash! It exfolicates your skin, and makes it alll smooth and clear!
your always going to have some pores that show. I used proative. but you have to wash your face like twice every day. the cause of most pores is sweat, and dirt, also oils, that could possibly be in lotions, and make-up. if you wear a lot of cover-up, or skin toner then it also can produce more pores. i remember one time i was at my brothers football game for just and hour and a half and i got a piple just from being out in the sun and sweating.
um, pores are parts of your skin, they cant get off. but CLOGGED pores cause acne. use neutrogena face wash to get rid of them.
help me? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a> Thanks.
everyone has pores all over their body...

Um mm well pores are very! very! hard to get rid of why you might ask? Because your body is made up of many millions or possible billions of them? To get rid of pores you would have to remove every bit of skin from your body. Can we say skinned alive? Now to shrink pores you can use an astringent such as Witch Hazel which will shrink the pores not remove them. If your talking about acme? Those pimples that pop up on your face and other places you might have to see a dermatologist? They can look your face over and recommend what to use on it.
You can't get rid of pores. Pores are the tiny openings in your skin to absorb oxygen and stuff like that. I think your talking about pimples which are your pores getting clogged up with pus and nasty stuff. Some people are just prone to get acne and pimples especially during puberty. It helps if you keep your face clean and avoid sugary foods because high sugar levels often cause acne.man makeup

you can minimize the appearance of pores by moisturizing and using a good face mask.
